Yes I have. While I think Man's World was a great performance, it wasn't as great vocally. She didn't have control of those notes and they were all over the place. Grammy performance of Beautiful was a straining mess, especially at the climax of the song.

Christina sings on sheaves, on a throat. At such technics of singing its difficult to sing the high notes, but Christina does it wonderful.

Compare this performance to all the rest.
This one's the highest. It starts at a higher pitch don't you notice? The notes where she cracks are the highest she has sang live in this song ever, and so high this only performance that she cracked. Probably because of this she sang every I Turn To You Performance in a lower tone hehe :)

A vocal crack is cause by a confusion in the vocal chords when a singer is pulling chest voice and belting in their higher register instead of mixing. This was from the very beginning of her career as a recording artist, before she had any real formal training. Now that she has worked with professionals she never cracks. She now knows how to use her voice properly without straining.

She had training the day she got her record deal when they wanted her to record Reflection. Christina does strain her voice, but not as often as she did in her debut and Stripped era.

Ok, this was WAY back when she barely began. Crack or no crack, she still sounded amazing! I actually have this performance tapped and I remember watching it over and over again cause it gave me chills watching her hit that note. Now it's been years since I've seen it and now that I looked it up and watching it again. Oh wow! SAME feeling! If anything, the crowd cheered her on! Didn't you hear them? Guess you were more focused on her "cracking" than the peoples response.

i do feel bad 4 her. i love xtina so much, an i know it must have been embarassing for that voice crack, however, it was 1 bad performance. She has had many brilliant performances of this song. i also love when singers go off key, mess up notes and are unable to hold notes sometimes. Why? because anything is better than lipsynching. It shows that she really is singing it her own, and shows that shes human.

ericmtl, can you explain why? whitney celine and mariah DOMINATED in the 80s and 90s, but all mariahs done in 2000 is sucky touch my body crap ,whitney hasnt done anything so far, and celine lipped a few performances. why is christina not on their level? other than the fact that you just like thme better? because she can belt like whitney, definately better than mariah, she can whistle like mariah, can hold notes longer than all 3 of them. shes definately right with them in the same level(top)

Okay after I watched this, I know now why she sings this song in lower keys all the time. Great effort though until the crack. Besides that it was basically perfect. I love Christina Aguilera and this song is still my favorite from her.

I adore Christina, she's so talented and I like BRitney's new songs these days(Hot as Ice, Gimme More), and her olds weren't bad. Btu I hate Jessica. As long as you're wise you don't have to be smart but she's just retarded. She can't take care of herself(well,neither can Britney (x) nor write good songs. She doesn't appeal to me, and it's not because she isn't a 'skank'. She's tacky.

yeah shes good now cause she knows how to sustain and control her notes now but back then her vocals were outta place she cracked all the time i went to alot of her concerts and she cracked at least twice at all of em.

Yes I have. While I think Man's World was a great performance, it wasn't as great vocally. She didn't have control of those notes and they were all over the place. Grammy performance of Beautiful was a straining mess, especially at the climax of the song.
