I have this phone now and I can't believe it still works through all the crap I put it through like dropping it in water and running it over with my car. It's truly the best sturdy phone out there.
@CrossBlaise You can send a TXT message, a PICTURE message, a VIDEO message, and a VOICE message. Entry modes are: Voice, T9 Word, Abc, Symbols, T9 Palabra.
@CrossBlaise Yes. It has all those features. I just got this phone and love it. I can browse youtube BETTER on this than the droid razor. No buffering, etc...Downside is that talk to text doesn't work very well, and it does freeze up once in a while for about 20 seconds, then unfreezes. It is awesome though.
@cyanidechrist I didn't have the first Ravine. I still like this one. It serves its purpose well. If you need more features, go for a smartphone such as HTC or Samsung or Motorola. But I don't think you can drop those in 2 m (6 ft) of water and still use afterwards ;)
This is a cool review, that USB car adapter is great! I like the first phone's looks but like the 2nd's smaller size and better looking display color. Casio should put back the music player,
the option of one on the first is nice with the great speaker. cool phone.
@BendApparatus I"ve had it for a while now and I'm still happy with it, especially with the extremely loud speaker on the outside. Great phone for someone who prefers to browse Internet on the computer and just uses the phone for talking and texting (plus occasional email).
can this be on a prepaid plan like buy a $20 card for txting (verizon) and i need a tough phone thats prepaid because i ride fourwheelers n dirt bikes and we go mudding alot so the waterproof is good to lol but plz reply someone
@TimothyCT I just checked in 'Settings' -->'Phone Settings' --> 'Language'... There's only 2 options: English or Spanish. I went with English because my Spanish vocabulary is limited to 'Si, sinor'.
@MrBulldog392 I was sitting in a Starbucks today and I have the stock RINGTONE on it with maximum volume. Someone called me and when my phone rang, I could feel people around me LOOKING at me! :) I love that basic 'Verizon' ringtone! So far, I'm real happy with this phone. Thx for watchin'

I plan on getting this phone. Facebook and internet browsing isn't essential for me, but does this phone have them?
CrossBlaise 2 weeks ago
@CrossBlaise It has 'Mobile Web' and 'Mobile Email'. I never used these features. I prefer to browse the Net on my 17" screen laptop!

Nothing new here. Very few "new" features. Almost same exact phone as the original Ravine. What a joke.

@smd5231 Ah, so it still has the super loud speaker of the first, that's good.
Being able to check email is good too.
Can you check if you can set multiple alarms or only one?
BendApparatus 1 month ago
@BendApparatus I checked - you can set up THREE ALARMS at once.

@killerman402 I got mine on a monthly plan. You should be able to buy the phone at the full price and use it as pre-paid.

@Tuppy44 I checked the specs online at verizon and it says, 'music not supported'. so, there's no music player in this one.

@vtwinbreed I hope so too.. If not, I've got 14 days to find something else. I don't like smartphones and their obligatory data packages.
