  • You should NEVER use the maximum pressure on the tire as a guide when filling your tires. Instead, use the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure; it's usually written on a sticker on the driver's door or in the owner's manual.

  • Tired of checking tire pressure? Try Quick Pressure tire pressure monitor caps (available from PSI 26 to PSI 165). Just replace your valve stem caps with the monitors, then the monitor will show green if the tire is properly inflated, otherwise it will start to show red. The monitors are welded, chrome plated brass, high quality.

  • when using a pen gage ,do we read the number when the gage is on the tire or we read after we romove it from tire? the numbers are totally different.

  • tire pressure is something that should be checked on a regular basis. Thanks for the explanation of how to do it yourself.

  • Any type of car maintenance tips are always useful. Thanks Wong :)

  • i would nt have thought about that too !! excell lol >stars

  • This is a low performance, low weight Hyundai built for average low speed driving. It has narrow 13inch wheels with high side walls. Maximum pressure for this car will be well under 35 PSI. To inflate this to 5 PSI under the tyre's limit (45 PSI) is totally incorrect. The car will be more prone to loss of grip and will certainly cause uneven tyre wear to the centre of the tyre.

Check the cars reccomended pressure and adjust to the temp, load, speed and type of driving. Check every week.

  • seriously?? 5psi under the MAX? are you crazy? no one should ever do that. There is a simple sticker in the driver side door that states what the psi should be for both rear and front tires. NEVER fill it to 5 psi under the max
