Why is the Federation fighting the Interstellar Alliance? The Earth Alliance, maybe but by 2287 they were free from all Shadow / Drakh influence and integrated into the Alliance. And why are the Romulans fighting alongside the Fed AND Klingons [I understand the Fed/Klingon thing]. the Romulans would have attacked the ISA, which is basically the same as the UFP.
the truth is that the star trek ships would totally kill B5. in the B5 universe it's pretty evident that shield technology would give any race the upper advantage. Also the star trek ships are more powerful than B5 Since they use antimatter which trump over fusion weapons that B5 uses.Even just 1 federation ships with shields, antimatter lasers, and photon torpedoes shoud have slaughtered B5. If the vorlons interviened, B5 would have won since the first ones weapons are >10 billion years older
@spartan7403 older stuff breaks easier idk bout everybodies theory that older is better i mean look at the asgard they were relatively young compared to all ur other races and they killed ori ships easily no problem it just so happend they killed themselves with science heck they could stop time if they wanted to
well i have to say, the result was completely realistic,(im a bit biased towards B5, but still) and i agree with darkestvorlon! it would take alot of luck and lots more ships for ST to win! still a good part(my fav)!
THIS IS AN ALERT message for all new age movements, read or see the work of Dr Karla Turner, was a UFOlogist and former abductee who researched the UFO phenomena.
This fight seems a bit silly doesn't it? I mean, both the B5 and ST universes have their own sets of rules and regulations, and to say that one could beat the other is a rather naive and foolish statement to make, considering that the two cannot be compared. ST has shields, phasers, photon torpedoes, etc etc. B5 has rail guns, fighters, point-defensive cannons, etc etc. Both universes have a plathora of races at their disposal as well. In the end, I think it would be a matter of luck to
Then again how about Star Trek vs Starblazers.....Yamato fires the Wave Motion gun......wipes out an entire Federation fleet....shields or not...... As to the B5 ships being inferior to ships in Trek, I seem to recall that none of the Trek ships had the Equivalent of the Excaliber's "main gun" which if anyone who knows scifi is a direct homage to the wave motion gun from StarBlazers...result B5 1 ST Nil
As someone who has studied theoretic physics for 12 years, and studied the "science" of sci-fi genre's I have to say that the ships seen in Star Trek would have little chance. Jump Drives use subspace(Hyperspace in B5) as a mode of travel, only transwarp can possibly compare, a ship in hyperspace can cross the entire milky way in 2 weeks. Moving from one arm to another takes 60-80 years as seen in ST: Voyager.
Weaponry also doesnt compare, save for the torpedoes.
lol that was in voyager, there were two scenarios, The Enterprise pushed her engines to the limit during the Farpoint mission in 2364, while fleeing Q, "Encounter at Farpoint" She broke warp 10 later that year during warp experiments run by Kosinski, ending up in some crazy distant galaxy.
La Forge stated that the Enterprise had passed warp 10 during this incident, Furthermore, the warp factor scale placing warp 10 as an infinite speed may not have been fully established at the time of the episode's production.
starfleet will totally own the centauri/narn/earth alliance, maybe even the minbari. First Ones will likely own federation. Now throw in the Dominion and some other nasties like a Cardassian/romulan/Klingon alliance and species 8472 and B5 will go down unless Lorien comes. In fact, species 8472 alone should do the trick. but if the shadows and vorlons and all first ones work together...including Thirdspacers....hmm...someone should do a thirdspace vid.
@Notcoldsoup cardassians have nothing save for a massive ship building industry that makes them stratigic in cheap ships that are built fast which is why the dominion used them
wow, somebody likes B5 a lot. anyway federation ships are always prone to malfunctions and subspace interferences and such (just look at how many times voyager got their asses kicked cus the "pattern buffers" overloaded or the warp core breaches... Federation is also snails compared to the efficiency some of the B5 races possess (especially evident in Voyager). they also have less maneuverable ships and no fighters. only advantage is shields and transporter and photon torpedo.
Really good job with the video. The only thing I have to say is you did not give star trek enough dues. All of their ships have very powerful shields. Also Photon torpedoes are extremely powerful, much more than nukes. And in the B5 movie "In the beginning" only 2, 2 megaton warheads were necessary to destroy a Minbari cruiser. But excellent job none the less, I really enjoyed it.
Babylon 5 was awesome but Star Trek Technology > Babylon 5 technology. lol.. this is clearly not set in the Star Trek universe else there'd be quite a different outcome.
Cough* Babylon 5 tech > star trek tech. Where do i start? Ohh, The Shadows and the Vorlons' tech level is over 10+ billion years. The 3rd space aliens' tech level is even older, the "First ones" tech is even more advanced. The first ones could kill every race in the star trek universe. The weapons the first ones use are-- They're so powerful i can't even finish that sentince. ☼☼☼
@QuantumNova course the first ones couldnt get so technologically advanced that they killed themselves doing it
the asgard did and they were a relatively young species compared to the ancients who are even older and even more advanced sooooooooo plus i doubt in b5 u can find a random dust cloud that feeds on anger of people killing each other over and over aaaaaand shadows i dont know much about but im pretty sure if soveriegn defended against a borg it can do the shadow a good rape in the face
Really? The Vorlons were scared of the 3rd space aliens who indeed had shieldings on their ships. All ST-ships have shields including their stations.
But ok, you have the First Ones, and we have Q, the Saurians, Species 8472 (who are a telepathic race and would exterminate the Shadows without difficulty) and The Caretaker.
@larsblom plus the borg u cant forget the borg if u assimilate a shadow they would know all the species weakness's drawbacks and other such and simply adapt to the threat but i still stand by the stargate theory the ancients heck even the wraith could take these guys out if u give em one of those little power sources a uhhh DHD? no the other thing the super batteries that they hooked up to one of the wraith motherships and it almost killed the oddessy
@spontaneoussam2 thats wat ive been saying hell their so advanced they killed themselves with science though i think the ancients could beat the asgard they were around before the asgard aaand they can have a entire aurora class battleship controlled by one man/woman in a chair
Scale right or wrong , this one is really awesome . I am doing some 3D star trek animations too , and I know how much time and patience they take to do . Nice work .
With all respect, NCS, the Whitestars we actually see onscreen sure don't seem to be big ships. I don't care what Tim Earls says: WSs are remarkable because they're the smallest ships to open their own jumpgates, they're little enough to scale to about 150m long based on their windows and Sheridan's head as seen therefrom, and they're little enough to be only a couple of times wider than an Omega's fore shuttlebay's height.
Well, you know this obviously doesn't have anything to do with anything. This video still got the scale wrong for a white star, it's actually about the same size as a constitution.
Don't take this movie seriously. In a slightly more realistic scenario the sovereign class vessel would have destroyed the entire fleet all by (her)self.
what, no credit to music?
