if you look very carefully you can see Eddie has Jack's hairstyle

that wasn't Jack, that was Eddie.

Thing was that Eddie was going to be the original HHN XI icon. But after the 9/11 attacks, Universal rushed frantically to make that year scary, albeit being socially acceptable, which unfortunately meant that Eddie was scrapped in favor of Jack.
