Well my doctor, whom I work for, is one fo the best in my state. His mother had cancer, and with their "free medical care system", they told him it would be 8 months to a year before she could have surgery. They had to go to the US to get her medical care.

He also came to the US to go to Medical School. And now resides here as one of the best.

I want the right to choose for private health care. I think that the government needs to regulate the insurance co. so that every American can afford health care, But keep it private. I have been treated in Military government run hospitals. It doesn't work well. As for Canada, it doesn't work there either, regardless of what MM says.

I see no reason not to have quality government health care, except for a broken government run by greedy incompetents. Why can't America be the shining model for quality health care when other countries have proven it can be done? And why is this black or white? We CAN have both, if we had the right people at the helm. Sadly, we don't. And that's the real issue.
