aww. but it's a great interpretation of a beautiful song. TRUTH: It kick's Mobb Deep's sample's arse all the way from here to the other side of the moon IMHO.
I am inclined to agree with 'layzer80' in that, sometimes, it's better to keep things simple. But I do admit to liking the addition of the (usually tedious and incredibly common) flange effects, which is an exception in tastes for me. Would enjoy it more on a HUGE system with a HUGE crowd of like-minded folk who dance freely... at a festival that lasts days. Or forever.
I think the song in this version loses its original sweep of epic sadness, (which I love). I agree the dancing and beer drinking add nothing to the "art" of your work, it just makes it look like a dumb ass frat party.
Hi. Just to let you know that this is a Thomas Dolby song and nothing to do with us. This was not intended as a pop video. When I got home I noticed some funny clips and put them together for fun thats all. I feel honoured that you actually think that I tried to make a pop video with a song that I created. This is us having fun with a few affects. None of this was planned otherwise I would have used tripod, lighting etc. The only thing that was planned was the world record...for Charity!!!
I think your man here knows it's a Thomas Dolby classic. I think he's just saying your remix loses a little of the Day After, Cold War melancholy of the original. Not sure what the last bit of his comment means. (Exactly what is a "dumb ass frat party"?)
I'm probably wrong. I generally am. But I really enjoyed this in any case, just so you know :) Nice treatment.
I don't know how i can say this clearly enough..This is not our remix. This was not planned. This is Thomas remix. These were clips I found on a mixture of video tape after a momoth 4 day world record. I only put it together after for fun...I gained Thomas' permision...Charity gained..that's what matterd
the boys in this video look stupid doing their dances etc leave dolby alone make your oun music dont like what they did to dolbys song clip sucks as does the crews music
Might have been ok without having to look at you fannies !!!
