  • PURE GENIOUS!

  • Chaplin had some balls. I mean Hitler was still in power when he did this movie, and he was Jewish.

  • LOL i watched this in history with my class

  • There is romour that Hitler saw this movie. I wonder what he thought about it.

  • @Vsmovies100 Apparently he saw it twice. Chaplin was designated to be executed after Germany took over America. So I guess he fantasized about killing him while he watched. But it would be interesting to read Hitler's review of the film though.

  • @Vsmovies100 He put a ht on Charley.

  • i belive that if anyone who alreaddy is a murdrer could become as worse as hitler

  • @Saltiag0 The speech isn't really german. It sounds like it, but is just a mix of letters.

  • It makes me happy that there was a man like Charlie Chaplin who lived in this earth!

  • @Booglybo How deep in the earth?

  • @SteveVithal Deep enough xp ... would it have made u happy if I rather said world?

  • @Booglybo No, rather.

  • hitler and chaplin was born the same day

  • @Larsi345Hitler was on 20 April 1889, & Chaplin Born on 16 April 1889

  • @Saltiag0 the speech is just gibberish, it's not german ;)

  • i am already doing something aboud this

  • it is wors, but its still murder. like robbing a bank is stealing, and stealing a cookie from your grandma is also stealing. the effects arent eagle, but ist the idea behind it is the same!

  • Cheese an Cracken!

  • hans500 all rights reserved ©. Don't be ridiculous signing it...

  • 07:23 hahaha what kind of punishment is that xD

  • "her garbage" :) he is incredible.

  • I like the part where the microphones move. That made me laugh.

  • ba...ba, banana

  • The Banana :)

  • Herr Garbitsch (Garbage) refers to Goebbels. The double cross refers to the verb "to double cross" as what Hitler did . Phooey refers to the Fuhrer.

  • I now understand Mel Brooks has been truely influed by this movie...!

  • yeah ,hitler did what he did in the 30`s and 40`s, so we get a new hitler now, bush and obama ! they kill innocent ppl in iraq every fucking day in the name of freedom!!shame on them both

  • @lauriersroses333 its unfair of you to compare the two. shame on you for saying so.

  • @lukethegreat101 i have nothing to shame of ! i dnt kill innocent ppl in iraq and afghanistan, and yes obama and bush are actualy worst than hitler

  • @lauriersroses333 The iraq war is terrible (all wars are, im not arguing that) but theres a difference between 92,000 civilians killed in a hostile and turbulent country (Iraq) and the systematic planned killings of people based on insane racial and political profiling, eventually leading to the death of 60 to 70 MILLION people worldwide. - I think a simple case of math solves this problem. Clearly your upset about the war in Iraq, but if you wish to have people take you u seriously be sensible

  • @lukethegreat101 are u telling me im UNSENSIBLE !! hw ?bcz i said:obama and bush are murders ??we all know what hitler did, and what stalin di also!but tell me about bush and obama1 can u ?im listening

  • @lauriersroses333 unsensible isnt a word so not im calling you a misguided narcissist. Anyone who makes such a claim as to saying obama and bush are worst then hitler are either full of themselves or completely delusional. - yes there is a way to know its called research - journalist are dedicated to exposing their governments for any wrong doings, its not always easy to find unbiased sources but it is conceivable. look up wikileaks u might be surprised how much information is at ur fingertips

  • @lukethegreat101 obama and bush are worst than hitler bcz they live in the modern world and still kill inocent ppl, hitler was a fucking murder for 60 years agoo,we live in 2011 now,i dnt need to read whats in wikileaks to understand whats a MURDER

  • @lauriersroses333 i cant imagine how shallow of a life you must live to amount to such ignorance. Too many people died and suffered as a result of that man, and i just cant bring myself to continue this meaningless conversation with you.

  • @lukethegreat101 ur the one ignorant here, cant u read english?? did i said hitler didnt killd ppl ??? the whole world know that.and why are u fucking defonding these two murders(obama and bush) ??

  • @lauriersroses333 Really? Your argueing makes no sense, leave. No none never.

  • @lukethegreat101 Could you please explain to me what the difference is between murdering 70 million people and just one person? when you kill someone else u are a muderer! now we know what Hitler and Stalin ectr. all have done, but wat Bush and Obama have done and do happends all behind screens so noboby knows it.

i thik that all humans who kill or order to kill another human being is a muderer! What do you think?

  • @HolandaChiquita I agree. But through a historic and analytical perspective there are some men have done more damage and are thus considered more heinous. Obama is a politician and not the worst one the world has seen. He complies with the rules society has put in place. You have a problem with that stop bickering with me and do something about it.

  • @HolandaChiquita ohh also murdering 70 million people is worse then murdering one. And theres about 69,999,999 reasons why its worse.

  • @HolandaChiquita Intent and motive has a lot to do with it. Hitler sought to exterminate millions based on arbitrary racial categorization because of his false belief that they would cause harm. While I won't contest that a murderer is a murderer, it is false to shove all murderers together in the same category. Sure some random mugger who kills someone is a murderer, but is he on the same level as Hitler?

  • @lauriersroses333 youre fuckin dumb dude

  • @yoleonardyo the fact hurt sometimes

  • How can this be called the best scenes and then leave out the speech at the end?

  • @buster20010 I think this is more meant for the comedic acts of the movie.

  • @buster20010 Was probably too long a speech to include in a 10-minute video.

  • @buster20010 because everybody and their dog has uploaded it. it's in the recommended videos over 3 times.

  • just saw it yesterday. great great movie!

  • 7:53 has to be the funniest part.

  • HItler wanted to be an artist.. and a great Actor acted like him

  • Let's not forget the Katenzammers. Charlie you were out there, but ya made us laugh.

  • WTF.. .. I have never seen this movie.. in my 26 years.. this videos is so awesome and very funny...

  • The Banana :|..... nuff said

  • hahaha wait a moment...

    hahahahahaha

    thx fniss

  • CHEESE UND CRACKEN

  • ahora que sabemos que el holocausto nunca sucedio.... es mas graciosa !! jajaja

  • This made me laugh so hard :)

  • hans500000 stole it from hans500 haha

  • @Skylinetaenzer haha, of course I didn`t stole it, I am hans500... but here on youtube I have this nickname

  • Charlie Chaplin's older brother was half Jewish. Different fathers.

  • 07:14 THA BANANA!

  • Wow men I'm from the Philippines And I just bought a book about all of the list of Oscar and acadaemy award winner movies. Sense 1928-1999 movies!!!! This movie is much hellarius!!!

  • Only wiener schnitzel and sourcrurt are real word lol

Aka breaded chicken and sour cabbage

    (excuse my spelling errors)

  • No, Charlie WAS NOT JEWISH!! He was of Romani (gypsy) descent. Please read his profile carefully.

  • @soyesterday989 Yes, but he was of a Jewish descent

  • @minnaihq

So was Hitler. Hitler was E1b1b which is Jewish.

  • can someone who has seen this movie explain to me why he is coughing up coins?

  • @CallicoJackracham best is to watch the movie ^^

Anyway; they decide that something need to be done about hynkel, and so decide to do a suicide bombing of him. In order to decide who will have to do it, they bake 6 cakes, and put a coin in one of them. Any further explanation will just detract from the utter hillarity of that scene XD

  • @CallicoJackracham they were basically trying to make a draw of who was going to carry the plot to kill Hynkel. The coins were in everyones bowels (unbeknown to one another), they all had sneakingly put their coin in Chaplin's bowl and he at the whole thing. Got to watch the film to understand why that happened. LOL

  • Wow I use to think comedy back then was all corny, he is hilarious!!

  • 1:32 "the wiener schnitzel mit de sauerkraut!!!" XDDDD

  • charles chaplin, a jew, parodied his corelligionaries executor and dictator, while showing gigantic talent and courage, he is an example to all comedians, although they say he was pretty strict in his personal life(with his family)

  • they don't make comedies like this anymore...

  • banana LOL

  • LOL cheese and crackers

  • wow he is god like comedian :)

  • Tighten the belten! =P

  • What glorious, old-style humor! Comparable in some ways to Monty Python and the Holy Grail in my opinion. Love it.

  • i wonder if hitler would of seen this :D x

  • @SophayBabesx Actually, it is reported that Hitler did watch this Film. However, there was no written record about what he thought about the film...

  • @SophayBabesx Yeah. Funny enough, a lot of people say Hitler stole the mustache style off Chaplin/

  • @SophayBabesx he did, and boy, he was PISSED, chaplin was a jew, you know.

  • @fyiiamthetf2fan wow i never knew he was a jew :P x

  • Herr Garbitsche!

  • Aww... And nobody made a "Hitler Rant Parody" about Hitler watching this?

  • Lol... I just noticed the "cheese'n'cracken" at 07:14

  • I always laugh when I see the scene of the dictator speech, especially when he says "Tighten the belten" and "sauerkraut"... I never knew german food could sound so dramatic lol.

  • i´m german. and i really love this video, chaplin as a person and this sarcastic humor about hitler.

  • SAUERKRAUT

  • WOW this whole movie is great I couldn't find one scene I like over all the others, hahaha

  • hilariousss!

  • why the fuck did you put your id there? Prick!

  • Behind this funny speech scene lies Chaplin's strong belief to fight against fascism

and the Nazis that ruled Europe in the 30's. I am glad that he was not persecuted for this film. The U.S. was stupid enough to evict him out of the country some ten years later. Instead he should have been awarded the Medal of Honor. All of us ought to realize how courageous he was.

  • Herr Garbage lol xD

  • @Sigurjonsig Well, it's really spelled, "Garbitsch", but yeah, it does sound like "garbage". LOL

  • @Sigurjonsig LOL

  • the propaganda Zionist to convince 200millions of statunitenses to entry in War ! is only this, and no what seem !

  • @sordi4ever learn English, ignorant jerk

  • Charles Chaplin got the idea when a friend, Alexander Korda, noted that his screen persona and Adolf Hitler looked somewhat similar. Chaplin later learned they were both born within a week of each other, were roughly the same height and weight and both struggled in poverty until they reached great success in their respective fields. When Chaplin learned of Hitler's policies of racial oppression and nationalist aggression, he used their similarities as an inspiration to attack Hitler on film.

  • Awesome! I need this movie!
