@davidswaffles7890 Impossible first She's from his future so after the Time War and second River is human not Time Lord. it's not Romana either. According to the commentary on the dvd or blu ray and it is stated that it's the Doctor's Mother.

I honestly think it's susan. She has a similar hair style, and she says she was lost, so very long ago, Susan was always lost, she never felt she belonged.

In a previous episode, the Doctor reveals that he was once a father. It is much more reasonable to think the lady is his wife, particularly because he would have married her during his "early incarnations", in which he chose to be an old man.

Sure, she looks old enough to be the 10th doctors mum, but she is the perfect age for the 1st or 2nd.

I think it is Romana. It couldn't be his granddaughter cos she is dead and i don't think it is his mum either cos' even though it was cast to be his Mum, I don't think she would their as she was human and was probally not allowed to vote anyway so she couldn't be standing there for disagreeing

Definately his mother. That was Davies' intention after all. Although if that's the case was she Human? The Eighth Doctor did say his mother was Human once.

@MARSDENA1 yes and before the doctor saw her she was wearing earth cloths. And also the 9th doctor did say that he WAS a grandfather, meaning that Susan is now dead. So this is probaly her just before she died in the time war
