  • 2 week beans?

  • wait..I hav the EB2, but w/rotary upgrade..shouldn't be too different tho.. still come and show me how!

  • I roast my own coffee with a Behmor and that really makes a difference. I do not take too far on the second crack, therefore, most of the times I use full city/full city+.

The Behmor is idiot proof and it is highly recommended.

Coffee is is one of the most important variables. What kind of tamper do you have?

    I live in Houston.....

  • please please PLEEASE I have this same machine...come to my house and show me how you get shots like this! I hav MAzzer mini grinder...Intelligentsia beans..my shots keep channeling! I try tamping techniques and still...channeling! HELP! (Come to Florida and Thaw Out!) lol..or at least show how you decide on grind or fill the portafilter, and then tamp..I need Help!

  • Awesome, the new Brewtus.

  • Your shot look fantastic. Congrats on your purchase. Please, could you tell me whats the machine minimum warm up time (from completely off) to make a good shot?

  • 35 to 45 minutes I guess. However, since I purchased it I have on a Intermatic Digital Timer and I have it set it up about 45 minutes before I pull a shot.

Keep in mind that any espresso machine needs at least 45 minutes to pull a good shot. I used to have a Silvia.

  • 203.5 is what the Vivace book says, but I've found in talking with various roasters, that many are using far lower temps - like 192-195ish. Blue Bottle for example mentions as low as 189 for their Retrofit, and I think 192 for Hayes Valley. PT's, Stumptown, and others are a bit higher, but still below 200 I believe. In using my Brewtus II, I started off at the high temps after reading that book, etc., but haven't run 200 or higher in a quite a while now.

  • The factory setting was 203....

I have been experimenting and 203/204 I can not taste any difference with this blend, therefore, It will be back to 203 :)

  • 204, isn't that hot? I'm asking honestly - not being snarky.
