I don't hate it particularly(except the ruined Vampire Lore, the fact that shape-shifters and werewolf are different and Meyer doesn't know that and a lot of other things like bad grammer and lameness), but I hate it when twilight fans go and insult Harry Potter or the actors from HP just because they know that HP is better than twi. After reading harry potter so many times i could recite it.....backwards. i decided to try something new. i tried the first twilight book, i was delighted by how different it was and thought i might become a fan when i read the second chapter, it all went downhilll, i got bored while reading but i was determined to keep going, finaly i finished it and i realised nothing would ever beat scarheads and gingers. nothing would ever beat the idea of 9&3/4. never.
dont even think of saying twilight is better cause people who grew up with harry potter and they learned something out of it to make everyone a better person. i may have not grown up with harry potter but i know that he is a legend that must be heard everywhere. but with twilight? please they dont teach you anything about life they just tell you, if rob dies im jumping off a cliff. save the children who have grown with twilight they are just reading something that came out of someones head
I honestly don't care if someone likes both Harry Potter and Twilight, I just find it quite annoying when they are compared. It's kind of like Halo and Call of Duty, the only thing that they have in common is first person shooting, and Hp and Twilight only has Rob P in both films.

When it comes to reading works of art such as harry potter JK rowling has the skill and talent to really bring depth to the characters and plot. Meyer on the other-hand just slapped them together the twilight saga is just shoddy literature.she could have fine tuned it more in my opinion.

@candlelite99 twilight is just some little pass time but with harry potter there is a really strong bond and it helps the people who read get through a hard time or the tiniest little things such as a pet dying to your parents dying but harry potter is there for you and you feel like you grew up with the trio but twilight they just jump right in and there is no speacial anything between the reader and the book it just makes a nice little thing to do if your bored not that i would ever read it

Jk rowling managed to make a better love story in a chapter than Meyer did with four books....just goes to show really.
Harry Potter, both the novels and the films have become a part of my childhood. Recently, i am not that obsessed with novels and films, but still love them.

@waguw55 the thing is, the books of the twilight saga were WAY too detailed to put into a movie. Obviously the books were better and to make the movies as great, they'd have to be like 8 hours long. I have watched both series. :) They are both great and should not be compared side-by-side. Harry Potter series is about the wizarding world. Twilight Saga is about vampires, human and werewolves. I don't hate it particularly(except the ruined Vampire Lore, the fact that shape-shifters and werewolf are different and Meyer doesn't know that and a lot of other things like bad grammer and lameness), but I hate it when twilight fans go and insult Harry Potter or the actors from HP just because they know that HP is better than twi. HP has better written books, better plot, better movies. If you start to insult it you have to be prepared to have your fav twi insulted back.

After reading harry potter so many times i could recite it.....backwards. i decided to try something new. i tried the first twilight book, i was delighted by how different it was and thought i might become a fan when i read the second chapter, it all went downhilll, i got bored while reading but i was determined to keep going, finaly i finished it and i realised nothing would ever beat scarheads and gingers. nothing would ever beat the idea of 9&3/4. never.

The reason I mention Ebert is because he has a lot of experience and is an expert in that aria. He goes bu the acting completely and she is great.

I said I was sarcastic so if you reverse that #, you'd have understood that yes, I have read them because I don't judge without as much information as I can get. You on the other hand, are starting an argument without backing your point at all. You stated the character's 'personality' then just claimed Kristen's perfect - fangirling much?
As for my sarcasm - what can I say? Can't improve it without practising.

@TheDarkCriticist I understand that it was your attempt at sarcasm, I just said it was terrible. I said that Kristen played the role perfectly because she got Bella's characteristics down pat. I don't see how that's "fangirling." You're argument was that Kristen is a bad actress, my argument is that she played Bella perfectly with what she was given. I think you're the dim on here, sweetheart. As for your sarcasm, obviously practicing isn't doing much for you.

@waguw55 the thing is, the books of the twilight saga were WAY too detailed to put into a movie. Obviously the books were better and to make the movies as great, they'd have to be like 8 hours long. I think Pattison did a better job in the 4th Harry potter movie than in the twilight series, though. (I actually would give you a thumbs up on your comment if I were on my laptop.)

I have watched both series. :) They are both great and should not be compared side-by-side. Harry Potter series is about the wizarding world. Twilight Saga is about vampires, human and werewolves. No point arguing about which is better. I hate fanboys. :)) I LOLed when he said, "I haven't watched twilight... (small pause).. yet.. " :)

Daniel and Rob are both great. The reason Dan's fans are so vituperative towards Rob is because they feel he has outshone Dan and they resented that.
But do have a sense of fairness, Rob is a wonderful person and doesn't deserve to be shot down for no valid reason.

@shappy6 While I agree that Rob doesn't deserve all the hate, it seems to be everywhere lately. The cool thing seems to be to hate Twilight and Rob. At least with many of my friends and people I know. It's not just Dan fans, so I'm not sure if your assessment on Dan fans is entirely accurate. I think some people just have an irrational hate for him because they don't like Edward.

Hmmm... I'd take Daniel over Rob any day. Rob's great in his own right (even though I despise Twilight), but I love the absolute nerdiness that is Dan. SO HOT!
