People not helping the pedestrian. I'm not surprised. Most people aren't used to dealing with emergencies or car accidents so adrenalin goes high and people don't think as well. They probably didn't see the guy get hit so the first thing you would think of is driver. It even can happen to EMS personnel. First step: scene size up. Get a big picture, determine hazards, and number of patients.

In trauma , the lack of a good airway , lack of perfusion (adequate blood flow), an altered level of conciousness or disruption of the functions of brain and spinal cord does kill .

To continue what I was saying nikidizzi , as a bystander giving first aid , you should locate and treat the most seriously injured person first , like an unconscious preson with severe burns . He or she needs your help at the very most . Your second priority is to help those with serious , but not life threatening injuries like an open leg fracture that's bleeding .

Love the web paranoia, but I am the person who got hit, and while you can believe whatever you choose, this was neither staged nor fun. I rode to the ER in an ambulance with the severely injured driver (whom the others are attending to) and I was layed up for a month (very banged up, but luckily nothing broken).

The security camera down the street caught it, and those don't record every frame to save storage space.
