the only thing i care about fios is its competition for other cable companies. TWC has been raising my bill steadily over the last year. Its getting extremely expensive and i don't even have the phone. For only internet and tv i'm getting charged an outrageous 127$ a month. Again, i don't even have the phone. Its typical monopoly crap.
Time Warner's advanced fiber optic network apparently is unable to support Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1 and all other Viacom networks. Time Warner sucks.
If you're as pissed off as me repost this on 10 other videos.
Time Warner Cable may have stepped too far across the line with its latest series of ads targeting Verizon Communications. The telecommunications company filed a lawsuit on Wednesday, claiming that its rival's TV ads falsely imply that Verizon's FiOS video service requires a satellite dish, that it does not include phone, broadband and video, and that Time Warner's network is better.
@zeyoner I totally agree. TWC borders on slander. I worked for Verizon when they launched TV in Syracuse, and TWC put out so many lies it made my job impossible; sad part is people believed it. You'd think for being home to such a prestigious university it wouldn't be full of morons.
As a FiOS user from Fort Wayne (the only city in the Midwest with FiOS), I have to agree that this ad is false. Basically, Time Warner wants to stop the bleeding of customers to Verizon by lying to their customers.
I hope that Comcast doesn't do a similar "Comcastic" ad campaign... or have they already?
I have Time Warner and listen to this, We pay around 120$ a month for internet alone. We have the highest package you can buy without switching to 200$ Buisness Class. Get 512kb Down and 3mb Up. We are switching to Verizon FiOs as soon as its offered in our area. The verizon FiOs in comparison is 15mb Up and 15mb Down. You do the math.
Where are the claims bogus? They ARE bundling with satellite in places where they have no TV franchise (like pretty much most of New York,) and Time Warner has had a fiber backbone for ten years already. Anyone who believes there is a significant difference in quality between the two networks (fiber to the home vs fiber to the last few thousand feet) watches too many TV commercials.
I wish you had used Verizon fios just once before you spew words around. As someone who had fios last year, and had to move to a city where time warner was the only game in town, I can say this. This commerical is insulting. FIOS is so fast for a few weeks you will actually feel like you are living in the internet future. This really only applies if you are a huge downloader though. Also the TV service is amazing, just the UI itself blows TWC able, not to mention the loads of content.

Time Warner -
$44.95/mo

THEN the prices are jacked up.

As with most Networks. The signal is only as good as it's weakest link. Yes TWC Has had it in their infrastructure but then what happens? Exactly.
On the other hand, I'm not a Fan of Either of these companies.
