  • what was going on ? aghayev without power, without speed, slipping away.. normally he's exploding but this was just lame. he must have been tired from fights before.. this is absolutely not like him.

  • buen trabajo tactico del Italiano, lo neutralizo

  • For those who don't know, this is no ordinary Italins..he got the 2nd place after Rafa in world champion before and he is one of the most annoying fighters ou can ever face..his Kizami is sooo fast and he is so difficult to catch..

  • Worst Kumite match i've ever seen, if i was judging neither competitor would have scored a point. very disapointed. this match makes me feel even more like joining Kyokushin. i expect more from Elite Sports Karate. i like to think of the WKF as about the tip-tap-point-stop Karate everyone complains about. maybe european sport karate has become like european judo like my judo friends say, everything is about the points.

  • I hate to say this, but aghayev behaves like a drama-queen, in fact, he always has. never thought much of him as a kumite-phenomenon. he's hust a master of deceiving rather than a full-blown kumite animal. he's good alright, but so are 10,000 others out there. but none of them play chess: they just do karate. and follow the real "do". Osu.

  • great fight for italy, too much clinching for my taste :p

  • awww aghayev looks verry verry much taired wel done italian

  • muy táctico el kumite de Italia... felicitaciones... no dejó trabajar a Aghayev

  • im gunna regret saying ths but i think that italy was a bit to fast for Aghayev... :/

  • @Scooboy19 naah, its just rafael losing too much energy on previous matches :)

  • @messiprogila haha true that ;)

  • good job for italian

  • Jag hör någon svensk prata i bakgrunden ;P

  • @NeWMeDal14 Antagligen någon från landslaget :)

  • lol i know it was the chest protector making him look fat, but aghayev looked seriously out of shape.

  • just sport...

  • 4:06

  • 3:31

  • rafael is like drunk lol

  • i think those 2 scores awarded the italian were not clear cut scores. the 1st one did not really make impact. i think it was abt 4 inches from rafael's face and the 2nd one was also not in very good form. it should have been a draw and then after that 1 minute extra round. anyways i guess dats just how the game goes sometimes.

  • I LOVE THIS GAME, BRAVISSIMO LUIGI !!!

  • many thanks for informations

  • это что за балет?

  • Aghayev rullz 4 eva' !!!.

  • @TheBeastKaRaTeKa suck my huge cock, his time is going to get the end ahahahahahahaha

  • I know it's hard to admit after two victory at world championships but Aghayev didn't have any injury, it's a balderdash!!!!! this time he's met who kicked his ass, dethroned and humiliated; no thrown, no panther, no speedy kizami, no everything! He just lost his match. Was he tired? well, so his opponent was tired too, it is final match!

  • Good italian performance but Aghayev is less reactive than usual

  • @sim1IT you are right!! I suppose it depends on an intensive training for months, soon or later his body get tired

  • who is the italian guy ?

  • @sim1IT luiggi bussa

  • ke te pasa aghayev ??? te desconoscoo .....

  • i thing rafeal play with problem both for his mind and his body and i this match there rafeal is not play with him self . and that man is very lucky .every rafeal fan sure that he will come back with his real power

  • Aghayev did not look like himself in this fight. Plus his opponent has definitely been studying Aghayev's fight videos. Luigi gt lucky because Aghayev thought he could play around with him early on in the fight. But Luigi had his number. Luigi definitely took some plays from Aghayev's book to get the win though.

  • WTF?? Why are they wearing those chest protectors??

  • @veela1 new rules.

  • Even in his worst shape Aghayev gets 3rd place in the European Championship, a dream come true for many of those criticizing here. He did have a serious injury and should not have competed at all in this championship.

  • @nbashirov What injury did he have?

  • @ArianMma92 Back injury

  • @ArianMma92 he got no injury, it's a bullshit cuz someone can't believe he just lost

  • whats with the chest protectors... and even though its point fighting punches that are landed aren't light at all... I think those chest protectors makes you even much hotter. The refs did a poor job keeping sportsmanship alive. Rafael fought Luigi before and showed total respect and now this luigi dude...... any how part of being a champion is knowing how to lose and climb back the ladder...

  • I heard that Aghayev hurt his leg in the previous fight and he had problems with it before.

  • What a poor example of karate etiquette.

  • Etiquette in the WKF has really gone to pot. Strutting around the ring as soon as the ref says you've won? Really? This isn't Wimbledon! I can understand how anyone would be euphorically happy if they defeated a champion, but begging the crowd for claps is just plain wrong. And in Aghayev's case, not bowing at the end of a match, even if you are completely crushed, is just unacceptable.

  • @Hasaanchop23: I agree, what's with the chest protectors? It's not like they're doing full-contact karate. It's point-fighting, for crying out loud!

  • Well you know guys... sometimes after a big tournament (like the WKF 2010), some people take a break and when they come back, they are not in the same shape. I think that happened with Aghayev. Either way, Luigi did a pretty good fight and he won by himself. Unlike Oscar Vazquez that defeated Aghayev in Estonia 2008 in a shady way (referees included)

  • Isn't it clear why aghayev lost? His previous fight was against the swiss champion sensei murat sahin. If you look at the video, you'll see that the fight was an exciting and especially an exhausting one. No wonder that he isn't fit, but still, he's one of the best karatekas in the -75 cat.

  • We all see that Rafael wasn't on top. For what reason we don't know, it might be that he hasn't trained, got a cold close into the competition or whatever. But remember that he lost to Oscar Vasquez in Estonia 2008 and got back to the top in 2009. I mean to talk about that he should change weight division after just one loss is a bit extreme, we all have our bad days. And when Rafael had a bad day he still got 3rd place.

  • Yeah he looked off his game. I wonder what was up.

  • Not only did he tank, but he was beat by his own game, which is to be the aggresor for the majority of the fight. This will hopefully onyl serve as motivation for Rafael in the long run.

P.S. What's with the chest protectors?

  • AGHAYEV.... tired?... did he loose his temper towards the end and got emotional or was it him being tired? Kudos to Luigi for this one. @SyracuseJundokan I agree. he looked off his game towards the end.

  • Rafael look not Fit!!! He should changing his weight class to 65kg!!!

  • It's hard to tell in video, but he definitely seemed off his game...

  • The winning athlete is Luigi Busà (ITA).
