  • I want this! this is the future;)

  • 'scuse me? "Everyone can afford"?

  • OMG!!!!!

    i want it NOW!!!!!!

  • that could make some pretty sweet legos

  • O M G IT I S NICE!

  • Half Price Prototypes uses this exact same 3d printer.

  • It costs 400,000 dollars to fire this printer, for 12 seconds.

  • how much does it cost?

  • Gotta have this!!!!

  • man.. this is crazy!!

  • Is this what Nvidia used to make their Ferni card?

  • These things are shit. My school has one. Looks way better on a video than in reality.

  • @batmanscoolness can u explain how the printer is shit?

  • Some body got about $50,000 I can barrow to get one these....LOL

  • i would print cake and cookies ^_^

  • That cake would be a lie.

  • 堅定流!?

  • 1. It was not CAd or CNC or wnatever its called i meant

    2. No 3D Printers not using CAD/CNC or whatever its called. CNC/CAD whatever its called is cutting the 3D model out of plastic itself. And 3D Pritners modeling and building the model op from plastic its loaded with, like a spreading/spraying spray thingy-like thing.

  • CAD is computer aided design, CNC is computer numerical control. The 3D printer needs to have designs made on the computer, which is CAD and it uses CNC to lazer the plastic in the right place. It uses them both so yeah...

  • Can a 3D Printer, use 3Ds Max or Maya, or import the Models from that programs or other programs into the printers program

  • Yes. 3d printer use CAD.

  • Yes you can. Export to STL.

  • AWESOME!! I know what i'm asking santa for this year!

  • Cool!

  • yo... I broke my headphones and do you think I can just build the part that broke on this?

  • i broke my foot too, i'm wondering the same thing!!.. not

  • sure, but dude the printing costs 90$/hour and takes about 4 hours for a model :p

  • Ok Lynninpain and all others on youtube and in the whole world, i must say this to you peopels that this exists and the printers working, and you can allready buy one, just surf google. But you guys who know this things and has tryed it, please answer this question. Can any of the 3D Printers wich is out in the world now, use 3Ds Max or Maya, or import the Models from that programs or other programs into the printers program so i can print out, a really really nice looking Master Chief statue!??

  • whoever made this is a genius and is going to become very rich

  • they do exist my school has one... its an impressive machine

  • Dude we've had these things in aerospace since the 1990s.

  • we have one at our school

  • OH sh$@%$#IT ,... this

    is real beauty guys!

  • how much does the printer cost?

  • Google says more than $40,000.

  • the uprinter is only 15000

  • Thanks, looks nice. The name is uPrint and you can see it at Dimensionprinting. Anyone who wants to donate me one? :-)

  • You can build yourself one out of a lexmark z12 printer fairly easily. There's a guy on youtube who did it. :P

  • Heh... heh heh heh... Bad dragon...

    :3

  • They'll probably have these 3d printers in schools in about 20 years

  • my high school has one in the engineering acdemy

  • Lol, we have one as well. :3

  • GArrrr, i want one! I wonder how much the cartridges are?

  • Next up! The 4d Printer! Printing just 1 3d object at a time!

  • I want to print on many items, as plastic, metal, candle, ect.

  • Oh my holy crap. I f*cking want this so f*cking much.

    F*CK!!!

  • cool!

  • That narrator says: everyone can afford to create all kinds of models at home, but that machine is very expensive (for someone with an average income). So thats bullsh*t.

  • Don't forget that this technology is still developing, as it becomes easier to make these printers, the price will go down.

  • how ,uch are we talking in terms of now? Price will come down, only if the public catches onto it and likes it and gives it the necessary investment. High prices are no way to advance technology. All it does is hold its true flowering off until a later point in time. Considering how relatively easy and cheap it is to manufacture and design a prototyping machine, the price should be far less. However this does seem like the Cadillac of 3d printers... Its all relative.

  • Of course some 3d-printers will be more expensive than some others. But take an example as computers, they started off as oversized calcualtors in building-shape and they were not cheap either. Then look at today, the world is filled with computers, some more affordable than others. Just like computers, 3d-printers will need time to develop. I'm sure the public will like it. Just be patient and see, in a few years it might have become a standard in many households.

  • Well said, and I am aware and had no doubt this would happen. But it shouldn't have to. There are many ways to make a profit with NEW technology without making them outrageously expensive relative to their cost. Either way I agree with your statement. And I too agree that we'll be seeing this boom very soon. In fact I believe that these type of machines will be the most important devices in space exploration. Don't have what you need? Throw in the raw materials and make it! haha. Can't wait

  • I would print bricks and build a house of fake bricks:D

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! xD

  • @rezanefkan with that price, I would prefer to print a house instead lol XD

  • this shit is amazing. I want it.

  • the ultimate dildo making machine.

  • my buddy says my buns is like a truck, think so?

  • dio villione.

  • Lol, science!!

  • Science is sexy.

  • I want science to have my baby...

  • ok?

  • this is probably the best 3d printer there is. how much does this one specifically cost? i know how in general they cost around 20 grand

  • About 1000 dollars.

  • € 26,110

    holy shit.

  • 35,302.15 USD

  • awesome. we have a 3d printer at our high school <)

  • Ridiculously awesome.

  • "It takes hours, not days."

    xD

  • Y'know, this looks amazing now, but 15 years from now we'll be laughing at it as though it were touting a Beta Max.

  • dildos anyone?

  • lol

  • Its never been easier

  • That's pretty cool, but the question is... Does it print money? :)

  • Or would it print another 3d printer? ;)

  • Ha ha, you're funny :) You get so angry at such trivial things. What, you scan comments looking for people to insult? You're pathetic, get a life.

  • Ya I do you dumbass faggot. Just like you sit at your chair and say dumbass things exprecting ppl to laugh. get a life :)

  • How much does it cost?

  • A friend tells me that its cost is approximately $35000

  • do you think you could make a wearable shoe with that? or like something else you could wear? i smell free stuff

  • No. It makes models, not daily use things.

And free? What kind of dream world do you live in? For all we know that powder recharge pot and the other recharge could cost hundreds of dollars. And how much power does it use? It took 4 hours to make that model. It sure wasnt free. What are the maintenance cost of that printer?

  • I need one of those

  • Q.- Does it prints on a 3d surface, or makes the whole object and then paints it?

  • It creates the object and adds color to it all at the same time

  • Thx, very kind!

  • WOW!!!

  • I wonder how many penises this thing will end printing in an office?

  • lol, dont we all?

  • Absolutely amazing. If it cost a few hundred for a small size low quality model...Id hate to see the cost on this machine haha

  • what is the material? plastic? I think it's pretty expensive..?

  • how can i make 3d data file?

  • you know i wish someone could make a machine that would automate the entire process of making a pcb from computer concept and layout to finished product. awesome, power to the people.

  • That would be very nice.. I wonder if there's anything on the way.

  • if i could turn my 3d models into 3d that would be awesome.

  • if anyone will give me access to one of these i will make them ANYTHING they want!

  • holy shit!!! the future is now!!!!

  • Fajna ta drukarka. Sam bym taką chciał mieć;)

  • Fajna ta drukarka. Sam bym taką chciał mieć;)

  • It's around $50,000. It can print up to 10" x 8" x 8" pieces.

I gotta get me one of these.

  • My guess... Between 10k and 25k.

  • I'd guess at least double that. Our office printer/copier/scanner was 30K

  • and whats the price of this magic printer ?

  • What is the powder? I want to know what the product it prints, feels like. Cause I don't know what it's made of.

  • I've handled a few, its almost like plastic. depends on the printer. but its cool stuff, I've seen very complex models and some cool stuff like balls within mesh balls.

  • Most of the 3d printer manufacturers will send you a sample so you can feel it and see what its like. My company is shopping for one now.

  • Dude.4 hours?! I'd still buy it. Lol. o_____O

  • this seriously roks

  • Man, my grandkids will have one of these. The world is going to be insane, as long as we don't fuck everything up for ourselves.

  • but wat is the end model made out of? that powder?

  • it turns into a brittle plastic, or at least the ones i have seen in real life do

  • Plastic. There are 3D printers that can also print ceramic and metal.

  • OH MY GOd!!!!

THIS IS IT...all design related firms should own this...this is amazing...

  • price?

  • "below $40,000"

  • lol.....

  • TOP STUFF

  • god damned this is awesome..

  • that is irrevelant to the video

  • We might get one of these where I work at. I seen ads for these going for about $25k to $40k

  • where do you work? which firm?

I heard karim rashid and starck was crazy about this 3d printing and this is the first time i saw it live on action

  • I can just imagine:

    450 document(s) in queue

    ... doh!

  • Each unit costs about £23,400, which is nearly 47,800 US$. that's a good price in comparison to other similar products.

  • for reals?! dang thats pretty good

  • I want one of those, but I bet their expensive as hell

  • This ad reminds me of some of the "productivity" ads we used to see in the early 80s regarding mini computers... now look what we have 25 years later, supercomputers sitting on most desktops. I predict that the cost of this, currently affordable only to business users, will drop into the realm of home users in a similar timeframe. That'll be cool!

  • macdonalds uses this to print happy meal toys. LOL

  • Really Cool!

  • i hope i will find one printer.....

  • Maya 8.5, check. Rudimentary 3D modelling skills check. 3D printer... Damn it, damn it all to hell - who must I kill to obtain one of these incredible machines?

  • Lol, I can see McDonnalds using these for toys. You could mas produce really cool stuff.

  • Mass production = injection molding

  • really useful, although its very expensive

  • I AM ABOUT TO CRY THIS IS THE MOST BEUTIFULL THING EVER SAW

    N_avogadro stars to that machine

  • its not plaster, its plastic. These models have some strength actually...

  • Once we have have. Expect cheap mass productions of model toys and shit from ebay.

  • THAT WAS THE MOST AWESOME THING EVER! How much does it cost?

  • It's about 25,000 US and that doesn't include operating cost. If you can find a lease option to see if it's profitable before you purchase would be a good alternative. Most Companies will start at 250 US and up for a finished model. If anybody knows of the 5,000 US to 2,000 US send me a link

  • if i were to find one, and buy it.

I would mass produce multiple Z450 35 printers and sell'em on ebay. :D

expect printers on ebay for $2,500 from me.

  • lmao. They're made out of plaster.

  • I WANT ONE!!! How Much Is It?

  • you can get them now for $5000

  • That's just misinformation. These are around $50K.

  • 3d printers are as low as 1000$, the other stuff which is better and use smaller parts are up there... around your 50k

  • Damn, I can't wait for these things to be affordable to the everyday person.

  • This is awesome!

  • want want WANT NOW!

  • Mass produce fake pussies with that shit :D

    Giggity giggity goo!

  • hahahah XD

  • but wats the model made out of plastic? im confused on that part

  • It's made out of powder, that is held in place by some kind of glue.

That's why it needs hardening afterwards, but it's still pretty durable as it it.

  • i think it would probebly cost 20 thousand... but in 5 years it will go down to 5 thousand. and in 10 years it will be 2-3 thousand ( cant see it getting any cheaper than that.

  • I WANT no reason just want one for the hell of it

  • Works by converting cad images to its own thingy to print from, but cad files are generally produced by autocad software distributed by autodesk. This software alone is going to set you back probably a further 10gs and also training to use it, even further. Not a 'pet project' type of printer =/

  • actually, the $25 Milkshape3D can also produce .CAD, .DXF and various other formats.

The machine itself, however, is bound to cost tons fpr a Freelancer such as me.

  • yes but it is a very low quality modeling software

  • true that... but more people use it, legit and otherwise... and more and more plugins are being written

  • But its shit software... Can't compare to Autodesk programs

  • You can print from Autodesk Programs. Just save the 3D file as a Stereolithographic File (.STL)

You can use whatever CAD software you want, just save the file so that the printing program can open it.

I used a ZPrinter (350 I think) in high school and did all of my 3D models in Inventor.

  • This reminds me of that "Replicator" technology on Star Trek. Now, if they could use biological base cells, somehow, you could make food.

  • An real life organ printer is on the (not so near) horizon, check it, based on inkjet delivery.

  • its gotta be at least 50G's.

  • Yes, this printer is for real! In the United States, it's distributed by IDEAL.

  • holy s**t, is this thing real?! this be a spoof!

  • I WANT ONE!

  • I don't know what the hell you guys are talking about but this thing is Effing aewsome.

  • wtf? info about a cool printer and so many unrelated comments all because of 1 moron seeking attention? btw, viciouslime, not to add fuel to any fire, but I do believe that was the revolutionary war, but none of us were there so I suppose we wouldn't remember it... :)

  • das ist ja ein geiles zeug

  • HOLY SHIT

  • One of the first things I'd buy if I won the lottery.. :)

  • @kosiziomal:

what kind of goofy language is that? "take me to your leader"
