  • damn .

  • you left out a few of the repetitions of that sequence. =P but other than that it's really really really impressive. I only noticed bc I've played this piece on the violin for 15 years. haha

  • Major Props from Lower Paxton Township

  • Bach can be real fun

    Thanks for showing us how

    congratulations from Mexico City

  • @Licleonschakal haha! yes, I think the trick is to stay relaxed while playing it.

  • jaw-droppingly awesome dude,way cool.

  • @arubian06 Thanks! I appreciate your comment.

  • Wonderful !!!

    We love your performance !

    Greetings from Germany

    REMOODS

  • @remoods Thank you! I like your channel. Greetings from Florida.

  • Cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Musical education makes ALL diference.

    Bravo !!!

    The very best Bach.

The Universe congratulates you.YAN AYRTON, a young composer.

  • @yanayrton Hello Yan! Tudo bem? Thanks for your listening. I love your music and performances.

  • Truly dynamic Bach, just the way I like it - and you seemed to enjoy it too! Great!

  • @brychar66 Check out the new documentary 'Bach & Friends' directed by Michael Lawrence. There are a lot of clips of it here on YT. Wonderful interviews and performances. Thanks for commenting.

  • Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • loved the first version especially, great tonal setting, kind of a flute-strings combo.

  • thank you. i was listening to the sinfonia from cantata 29 on your channel and it struck me how it's almost the same piece as this one in many ways. some of bach's ideas are just too good to keep to only one composition!

  • @AECSRQ Eeee! It's the same music. Bach trasncribed the Prelude for keyboard. Extraordinary piece of music. Very good rendition. Check out Joel Hastings playing Saint-Saens arrangement of the Sinfonia. Superb. I'll bet you'd enjoy playing with it. Cheers. Keep up the great work.

  • @sosome57 thanks for the suggestion! will check that out.

  • you are very skilled, i love the sound of this.

  • thanks, Micah. i enjoyed your videos today.

  • love it! BRAVO!!!

  • thank you - i like your cello videos, esp. the Bach!

  • Well done. I don't see why version two is any more improbable than version one. Loved them both. Excellent choice of wardrobe, BTW.

  • thanky mickeleh. it's the sunglasses. ;-) what could be more improbable than a bach violin solo played as an electric guitar solo on a keyboard by a guy who has a stevie wonder look going on? lol at least the first version uses orchestral instruments and follows bach's dynamic notation.

  • nice! what r the statues of on ur piano?

  • thanks, Pat. the statues are part of the 'Humanitas' series by the Spanish company LLadro. the one on the left is 'scientia' (knowledge) and the one on the right is 'imaginatio' (imagination, of course). funny you noticed them. :)

  • ooo thats really cool!

  • :D & thanks for subbing my channel

  • no problemo! u r amazing at piano dude!

  • thanky ^_^

  • lol no prob!

  • oh, the one in the middle is 'Pastor Griego' or 'Greek Shepherd' (also Lladro). he's playing a flute as he walks along.

  • The happy raincloud shirt is priceless.

  • Love the johnny shirt! I have that one too :D And this is a lovely and fascinating rendition of this piece of music. I love what you do. You know that!

  • the arrival of my Johnny D shirts in the post inspired me to make a video. I think the black/white one looks intricate and contrapuntal like a Bach prelude. Hence... (I love the word "hence"). The blue one has more of a 'fun & frolic' feeling. thanks for the love, Tom.

  • For a bit, I got a little Michael Flately vibe from your right hand. Looked like it was doin' some Irish step dancing on the keys. Awesome work. Johnny gets an award for best costumes. Jokes aside. I'm a awestruck. And grateful to you for putting this up where i could trip over it.

  • lol, Michael Flatley probably does dance to Bach!

did you see your friend Jake Shimabukuro on Michael Lawrence's "The Bach Project" documentary? Clips here on YT. i'll send you a link.

  • Thanks so much for that. I hadn't seen it. Love this quote: "Music is just the vehicle to try and figure out the kind of person you are." -Jake Shimabukuro

  • Hahah -- that was great!

  • i'm glad you enjoyed it, Philip. hope to see more of your fantastic nature videos as the seasons unfold.

  • This is a masterpiece. You are truly incredible. I kept expecting you to make lemonade with your free left hand.

Love the way the video is framed to show your reflection from behind in the mirror.

You videos and talent are a true joy and trasure of YouTube.

  • you are very kind, Bill, thank you. this was a lot of fun to make. i thought after making two left-hand solo videos my right hand needed to express itself without any competition. you are a youtube comedy virtuoso yourself, sir! ☺

  • I thought this was especially amazing :D Really loved the whole style of it all. This song will always remind me of August Rush, if you have never seen that movie please watch it, very musically inspiring. You played it all so well and with ease, oh and while wearing a wonderful Johnny Durham shirt! Great to see you've discovered him too :)

    - Shane

  • My connection with Johnny is that I also grew up in Durham, NE England, and I love his creations. I'm going to find 'August Rush' and watch it. Please bring the popcorn. ♥
