@tenmozek Why should he give up? If he would finish every race without crashing, then he should consider giving up, because that would mean he isn't making any progress. Rally is all about pushing to your limits. But you won't find them by just driving safely to finish. The only way is to take risks and push hard, which will inevitably lead to crashes. If you watch the early years of any rally champion, they've all crashed as much as kimi, only difference being that no one paid attention to it.

@davidlars99 a driver is nothing without his car and the 2007 machinery wasn't anything special. The same case in 09 im not gonna comment on 08 i was quite disappointed with kimi my self. I really don't think schumi would have done any better in 2007 to be honest. Schumi would have probably done better with the 08 machinery. Remember the ferraris of 2005 and 2006? The renault was more impressive back then compared to schumi's ferrari.

appena arrivato in 500 valentino rossi non ha vinto, ha fatto credo 4 cadute nell'anno. stessa cosa ha fatto rossi il primo anno in 250. rossi non ha mai vinto il primo anno quando è salito di categoria.

La stessa cosa ha fatto stoner in 250 e in 500, cadendo molto più di rossi e mettendoci più anni a trovare il giusto feeling... (non c'entra se non è forte quanto rossi, è comunque uno dei migliori).

Kimi has already proved that he's fast. For now, he has to focus on reliability. It's fine to be young and have temperament, but it's not what makes a real champion.

In a parellel, a mountain climber's goal is not to reach the summit, but to make it home safe. Kimi should maybe slow down a bit, practice driving safe and slowly get back in his original pace with the improved reliability.
