  • I would have been one of them...only safely hidden away in Canada.

  • Pretty cool how they got the REAL Officer Obie to play himself...said he'd rather make himself look like a fool on-screen than have someone else do it.

  • This film MUST have influenced the creation of ROCKY HORROR

  • @gabsylv and HAIR

  • I think this movie is a classic, a quintessential slice of life as experienced by millions of babyboomers in the 1960s and early 1970s. It manages to be irreverant and serious, funny and dramatic, light-hearted and tragic all at once like the time from which it sprang or more like exploded onto the scene. I am hoping that if I write enough here, that I can drive the horrible comment below out of easy reading distant. Hey, I believe in free speech, but the vulgar comments are very rude.

  • @P8G9JVXD9BK296WHKYJB jajaajaja you're a dick ;)

  • @P8G9JVXD9BK296WHKYJB I see you closed your account and wonder why Duuuuuuh.

  • my fatherinlaw is the big dark guy in the army scene when they were in underware siting on benchs lol

  • @originalgrump100 He says I can get anything I want at this particular restaurant. If I go there, I would hope to encounter some tasty dank stank hairy late 1960's hippy pussy along with some stinky dank hairy button poop pipe real close to it. I would hope the hairs connect one slice and pipe into the other like hippies do

  • Can I get some pussy at this restaurant ??

  • This is really a terrible movie, but a cult classic I watch all the time. Great song though.

  • Arlo is so great. Love him. Happy Thanksgiving Arlo and everyone!

  • uh! in the beginning he looks like bob dylan! :D

  • First time I heard this was just two hours after my bud and I got cited for hitchhiking en route to the zoo. I've considered Arlo a kindred spirit ever since.

  • A four minute trailer - let's see Hollywood do THAT today!

  • GRANDE GRANDISSIMO FILM

  • Just GREAT, I love the movie, too :-) Got the record, seen the movie!

  • The most awsome movie!!! i am in love with arlo, and so many serious issues addressed as well x

  • aw hes so adorable :D

  • That's totally not what I picture Arlo Guthrie looking like when I hear the song. Some reason I always pictured him looking similar to David Crosby lol.

  • 00:54 WHAT SONG IS THAT?!?!?!

I've been told it was Fixin To Die Rag, by Country Joe and the Fish, but I'm not so sure about that.

Someone please help, I want that song so badly... at least the one on the movie that he plays.

  • Love it! Listening to this song on WZLX was a tradition with me and my dad for many years...

Arlo was pretty cute in his day, as well!

  • @ladykatey I was a little girl when I first saw the film one Thanksgiving many a year ago. They show it in my hometown every year at that time. I thought Arlo was a cutie too back in his day! :) I remember watching the film "Woodstock" during a film revival and I had no idea Arlo had been at that legendary concert. :)

  • @skaiseverything [I can't imagine why...]LOL

Now it all started two Thanksgivings ago, was on - two years ago on

Thanksgiving, when my friend and I went up to visit Alice at the

restaurant, but Alice doesn't live in the restaurant, she lives in the

church nearby the restaurant, in the bell-tower, with her husband Ray and

    Fasha the dog.

  • The whole saga started with a Thanksgiving dinner, lol

  • I really LOVE this movie and Arlo Guthrie ;)

    My recommendation: WATCH IT!!!!!

  • any chance of this film being uploaded , that would be so coll havent seen it for years ...

  • I found it on pirate bay

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! I was born in 1972 and every Thanksgiving they use to play this song on the radio....I LOVED IT!!!!

  • @Libitina72

Wake up, Libitina! They STILL DO play Alice's Restaurant on many stations across the country each and every Thanksgiving! Peace.

  • They don't make movie trailers like they used to, do they? Thanks for posting this, now I want to go see the film. Always loved western Mass (especially in fall), where this takes place.

  • mE TOO.
