Gutsy call because considering the preflop and flop action, Patrik could easily have a set here. Sure would have to suspect that Patrik would answer his big re-raise preflop without arabs hand, no matter how wide Durr's range is. If dude suspects Patrik may have a set, that's what makes it a gutsy call
Dwan's call on the flop was gutsy. I have to wonder if he gives up the hand on the turn if he doesn't hit his set or at least a straight draw doesn't come.
@ThePodgeiscool When you consider the preflop action, if you had Kings and you didn't suspect someone had a set of 10s or Queens, I think for your safety you shouldn't play poker. Actually, I take that back. Meet me at Commerce in L.A. for the 5/10 game (which I win at) so that you can give me your money.
the check call on the flop was sheer genius from Durr. He checked with the intention of check-raising, and then read strength from Antonius' play and just called. I think he knew he was beat on the flop, but the flop gave him a backdoor straight possibility, that is probably why he just flat called.
@gshankaran sorry, but if he knew that he was beat on the flop, you don't call and donk away money for a backdoor straight draw. chances are 1.5%. i hope you were joking with that one. he thought patrick was putting him on a typical dwan weak hand and thought he had him with his kings. he folded if he knew he was beat. doesn't change that the played it beautifully from there on.
@staxstix Nope I was not kidding. Poker by definition is a game of statistics, probabilities, and incomplete information, and it is the last one that makes it so unpredictable, wild, creative and enterprising. And instinct does not equal information - ie, if I feel that I am beat, does it mean that I am beat? And the answer comes down to how much am I willing to pay to find that out (aka information). With a made hand like KK, such decisions just become that much easier.
@1skullduggery He thinks about his every move b/c he has the time unlike online where you make your best decision based on the time you have. Stop being an idiot like tony g.
@asianmonk why does every sub-75 i.q. piece of squid have to fire out insults and comment on things they know absolutely nothing at all about? you've NEVER played 1 hand of poker in your little sordid life. next time break the prozacs in half....
@1skullduggery lol I have played probably 1000x times the hands you have played in your lifetime. Last 2 months I played ~110k hands. Stop being dumb.
sometimes you have to go broke and there is nothing to do, if is against Dwan you have to go totally broke even if you can understand you are beaten. Dwan can make easily that all-in with 8-7 off.

@bigken007plus Oh yeah gutsy! Only calling with an overpair to a dry flop like that... you dope. For your own safety, don't play poker
