You know what? I don't really like the direction they've taken with the graphics, but the game itself looks like it might be fun to play. It looks like they're going a lot more Castlevania with some things, and it'd be interesting to see how that works out.
Hopefully Cave Story will tide me over until this one comes out. Eagerly awaiting playing this for the first time! It's like Zeldatroid (which is an amazing kind of awesome!)
I did some research and found out that the song "curse of iron pipe" (the fountain stage) is actually based of a game called Ashguine 2. It sounds really familiar

So i heard they are going to change the music for the level. But I don't know yet, I'm just pointing this out

And did you notice that the centaur-like thing at the spring in the sky has been swapped with a thing looking oddly familiar? Like, looking like a front view of the blue algol?
which one? the one on the surface, or the one that crumbles at the end? They're both looking nice imo, especially the surface one, much nicer than in the older Test Play video.
Both of them, really, but I meant the surface one with the eyes on its body. I didn't really like how they didnt draw each frame originally, but now seeing it complete, I'm thinking "awesome."
Does the HUD remind anyone else of Symphony of the Night?

This version has lots of new features, such as the enhanced graphics and music you see here, plus the controls aren't as aggravating.
