  • WORLD RECORD: BIGGEST WIND TURBINE

    Visit: windturbinecarriedbywheels.weebly.com

ZERO-NOISE from gears and generators since they're sealed underground.

SAVES THE BIRDS AND BATS since the turbines are slow-moving.

DOES NOT NEED TO OCCUPY A WIDER LANDSCAPE since the turbine can be very tall.

MAY BE LOWER-COST since it can use parts of junked trucks and others.

ELUDES HURRICANE FORCE since the blades automatically close.

HELPS THE WIND ENERGY COMPANIES since it is FREE FOR ALL.

  • I think it was the second mertopolis was hit by megaminds super death solar powered ray....

  • No, really, this is verrrry in a fish net.....?

  • The FORCE!!!!!

  • Yes Darling I enjoyed the pirouet (?) but RPM , Wind Speed and the all important Watts - Volts - Amps - plotted on a logarithmic scale would be just as pretty - if not actually useful....

  • Why is there a big lazer :O

  • It seems that this type of wind turbine is still able to function even in slower speed of the wind which is an advantage because it also might also mean that this turbine can just be placed anywhere. Usually, the location is the first thing that needs to consider to fully make use of wind energy in wind turbines to generate free electricity.

  • like dance bisquits

  • not for us - we have 0-6 knots most of the time

  • That must produce massive amounts of power !! Somewhere in the region of 0.003 Watts, If I was to guess. Watch out Shell, Exxon, Opec + BP, you now have some major competition on you hands

  • Just enough breeze to feel on your cheek? the flag is waving straight out...that would take more than a breeze. I don't mean to rag you out, but what kind of torque does Helyx produce that can turn a generator. based on surface area of your turbine blade, how much wind would be needed to turn even a small 50W generator?

  • OMG, Ferris Bueller is the narrator!

  • dance?

  • Ferris Beuhler.

  • 0:10 death lazer

  • Wind energy is one of the fastest growing energy sectors in the United States. At present only 2% of wind energy is used for the generation of electricity. It is projected that the United States could net 4.5 million jobs in the renewable energy sector by 2030. Pacific Crest Transformers has whitepapers and articles related to wind energy.

  • Spartan laser!

  • I do not know if you read the comments Toby, but I happen to love your design because of it being vertical axis, also being a helix.

Personally, I think that is the best all around design.

  • Are we human?

    Or are we dancer?....hey guys!

  • Comment removed

  • in terms of swept area how efficient is this to the best horizontal axis turbine? whats max wind it will generate power in?

  • hello sir what is the wind speed it need,

  • The HelyxTM Hx-40 has a measured Cut-In speed at 5.5 mph wind speed. The HelyxTM technology is designed for urban wind conditions.

  • with that how much it make power

  • Cut-In wind speed refers to the wind speed required to cause the "working surfaces" to "cut-in" and begin to turn, therefore the beginning of the power curve. At Cut-in, power is zero and goes up from there (v3) as wind speed increases.

  • dude how /where can i learn bout the electronics and tech stuff bout vawt, like how to make a generator how to figure the amt of power to hook one up all that. thanx
