I personally eat meat AND vegetables, but it really hurts me when I found out that one of my friends from school turned into a vegetatrian because it's some "cool trend" that's going around. =_= I really appreciate you, using your own personal time to put up this video. xD
In the area where I live I don't have the vegetarians agruing amoung them selfs. I am a vegetarian I'v been one for about four years and what really gets under my skin is when people go around saying they are vegetarians then go right ahead and eat meat! I mean rly! Thats just sad I cant stand it that people take the word that means so much to accull vegetarians and use it as a lie just to sound cool.
I believe in animals rights. I believe in expressing this belief to the world. I think others should express the message. Iv'e never liked the taste of meat anyways, and to me, it's totally pointless to kill innocent animals. Besides that, Iv'e always been hated for disliking the taste of meat. It's sad how the ''V'' word is loathed, when it should be defended. And I don't believe in forcing this belief, but it's nice when people are open minded to take time to think about our society.
You like very much like you, you are just smaller, as you are further from the camera. I had a vegan friend, she was amazing, but she was vegan because she saw eating anything from an animal as disgusting. Which is a fair point. Funny thing was she had never met another vegan so there was no poser-ness about it. I think about being vegetarian about fish, that sounds stupid but whatever, catching fish in mass is evil :( But I don't care what anyone else eats
being a vegetarian and being a vegan is a world apart. Its not the same social movement. Vegetarianism is a diet, while veganism is about animal rights and justice.
The reasons why a person goes vegan is important because if you care about vegan activism, then you want people to go and stay vegan. Lots of people go vegan or vegetarian for the wrong reasons, end up quiting, and then making negative comments.
Well, most people become vegetarians and then transition to vegan. And if there wasn't people running around calling everyone who goes vegetarian a poser then more people would be willing to make the transition from vegetarian to vegan. Instead of telling people they went vegetarian for the "wrong" reasons people should encourage them and teach them the "right" reasons.
i agree that kindness is of great importance, however ive found that vegetarians typically take to veganism just as well as omnivores take to vegetarianism... ie not very well and take it very personally. Most vegetarians ive talked to think they already do enough for animals, and think veganism is extreme.
As to the comment that most people become vegetarian first is due to animal welfare groups pushing that agenda. There is no reason why it should be that way.
I wasn't upset by this video at all...but then again I'm not a vegetarian. in fact I only know a few people that have admitted to being vegetarians, and none of them seem to brag or be be nasty about it. might be another one of those NY things... :P
