I can't stand Final Crisis. So much so I don't even know how to put it down anymore, it just sucks for me and is nothing like I had hoped a DC Final Crisis would be. Does it even tie in yet to the other Crisis stuff? Why not? Between that and Batman, DC for me fell from 1st place in comics to disgrace in comics. Marvel is making them look silly... again. Morrison has been highly overrated ever since his X-Men. I love his non main stream work.
What about Green Lantern? Did you read issue 36 this week? I thought it was alright, because it takes place after the Awesome Rage of the Red Lanterns story. I think you should check it out Craig. PLEASE, tell me you'll review Wolverine: Old Man Logan.
How about some Action comics/Superman reviews (whenever they're out), I'm just after mailing my lcs today dropping 5 Marvel books and taking up 6 DC books...and still using the same budget.
Marvel are putting out good books yes...but they're gouging the prices now. I got the latest previews for march and almost the entire first 20 pages (ie what they're pimping) is made up of $3.99 books. I'm not paying 3.99 for 32page books even with a store discount I think its outrageous.
there should be a ? after the first sentence. I thought DC had better books this week but I didn't read Incognito and War machine didn't vibe with me but other than that it was good.
also I love Final Crisis and think it is very easy to understand and brilliant. I get your complaints with Batman R.I.P. but the secret files was needed. It would have been terrible if Morrison did this story in one of the main Final Crisis issues
Agreed. This needed to be done as a supplement. However, I feel that there could be a lot done to make Morrison's R.I.P. and Final Crisis both a lot more reader-friendly.
Sadly, we couldn't sell JSA if Mark Millar wrote it. As for GL, I'm sure it was great, but it seems like a no-brainer lately. Geoff Johns' machinations are leading to something huge, and it's been great since Sinestro Corps War, but I don't find myself caring that much, personally.
We sell Manhunter, in trades, to one person. He made me take them home and read them, so I could discover how great it was. Likewise, Checkmate sold exactly one copy (to me) while Rucka was on the book.
As a manager of a comic shop, it sometimes hurts to point out great books, have people look at them, seem interested, then put them back and grab a copy of Fathom.
where is part 1?

No Green Lantern or JSA. GL was fantastic this week but JSA was a little lackluster sadly.
I liked FC Secret files. I loved the Len Wien Libra story and the sketches. Didn't get the crime bible page though.

what do u mean about JSA? It is one of DC's best books!
Guido5595 3 years ago
I mean I used to order it, and no one showed any interest whatsoever in buying it. So I stopped ordering it.

Wow thats bad, because guido's right, it is a good book.
