Creamy goodness. compression is as much a matter of taste as it is a tool for controlling levels. When you have a compressor with a good, musical-sounding compression like these.....you can pile it on thick and if you love the smashed sound of that type of drum compression (reminds me of Ringo's drums) this compressor delivers.
It really is a matter of taste...no right or wrong other than if it sounds good to you.

I like the uncompressed section better. The cymbal is very overbearing on the compressed section IMO.

This a certain sound that works well in the mix for a lot of rock genres. I'm sure a jazz band wouldn't be thrilled though. It's not a bad demo at all.

Just curious, do you only use the TG-1 for the room mics? How would it work on the drumset as a whole?

Sick drumming, brilliant demo of a fantastic compressor/ limiter which highlights very nicely even through terrible PC monitor speakers exactly how sweet this thing sounds! I wish everyone put demos like htis together. Thanks for the effort from whoever did.... no where did i put that spare £2900 i left lying around for such a piece of gear.....
