I love to play my Dulcimer and play it when I do live gigs. There are not many of them over here, so people often ask all about it. It is quite tricky to balance on my knees when I am playing though, and I have to be careful it doesn't slide off :)

Years ago I was working a Renaisance Fair and the guy in the booth next to mine had dulcimers for sale. I didn't know how to play one but picked it up pretty quickly and developed a sort of 'rock dulcimer' style. The guy banned me from his booth because it wasn't how dulcimers were meant to be played (so he said).
