  • Paul Dano is the American version of Ralph Fiennes.

  • 'tis he who shall not be named

  • he only get a nomination ... of course he never wins ... he is not a jew

  • THAT is how you pronounce his name !? wow

  • Comment removed

  • No one can play villains like this guy. I am massively psyched to see him in 007 Skyfall.

  • 12-22-2011. Ain't it fine, ain't it fine? Ralph is 49. Happy Birthday, Ralph. You finally caught me (at 49, that is). And Merry Christmas.

  • @tarynrose1000 and Voldemort, cause that is fact as well

  • @tarynrose1000 He has revealed why he pronouces his name that way. He said that his grandfather was called Ralph and back in that time it really was prounced Rafe..so Ralph's father told that to Ralph and Ralph ever since then wanted to respect his grandfather's name and carry on the pronunciation.

  • all i feel when he talks is fear OMG IT'S VOLDEMORT but he voice is soothing

  • One of the best actors out there. Can't wait to see him in 'Skyfall.'

  • @jksonny yea and Coriolanus, it's gonna be so violent and epic wahay!!!!!!!!!

  • First time I saw him in Schindlers and Red Dragon, I IMMEDIATELY was like..thats good ole Voldey! True Potter fan.

  • 4:16 - TOTAL Voldemort's voice........ ^_^

  • that CAN'T be voldemort...

  • @xLoliXKittyx It is. Ralph joked that he was probably the least recognised Harry Potter actor because 'I have hair and a nose'.

  • @Mikkedev It is a form of liaison that occurs in informal, spoken British English when a word that ends with a vowel directly precedes a word that begins with a vowel. The "r" sound is placed between the two words just to eliminate the awkward double vowel sound and to help distinguish between the two words.

  • actually. he looks like bradley cooper..

  • His name is pronounced as "Rafe" as opposed to "Ralph".

  • 1:26, did he just say "Raeph Fines"?!

  • The English Patient!! Not Voldemort quit screaming Voldemort, thats the last movie i think of when i hear Ralph Fiennes

  • Fucking love this actor (no homo)

Really, he is one of the BEST actors ever.

  • Fuck Voldemort, Ralph Fiennes perfomed a much more terrifying role with Amon Goeth.

  • (Amon Goeth)

    "Unterscharfuhrer.......shoot her."

    (Lord Voldemort)

    ".....kill him"

  • Amazing Actor he was amazing as Harry Walks and Amon Geoth....oh and Lord Voldemort...

  • Rayf Fines? THAT'S how you pronunc his name??? I thought is was Ralph Finesse.

  • @madiiwarsaw

my thoughts actually! just watched the nostalgia critic pronounce him like Fines and googled this

  • i love this man.....he is hot beyond compare

  • Brilliant, conflicted, and always looks like he just swallowed a fly.

  • my favor actor. I "discovered" him in Schinders List

  • Ralph Fiennes didnt start acting till he was about 20 and go into film until he was almost 30.

This proves that not all filmstar greats need to get a childhood's head start.

There is hope for being an actor even if you start a bit later

  • he blew my mind as Amon

  • Great actor and handsome :)

  • What a boss.

  • Seriously, one of the greatest actors ever to grace the planet <3

  • wow <3 !

his full name is Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton Wykeham-Fiennes

  • he has a psycho look, but still his voice and look rules. Love you Ralph..(merry me :( )

  • 4:50 the young man on the right... I swear that's Oliver Valentine from Holby City!

  • He's the only man who can make dressing like a geography teacher sexual. I will never get tired of looking at him

  • Ralph, pronounced Rayf is a cool name. that's what i'm going to name my son lol.

  • when i watch this all i can see is will farell from the snl parody of this

  • After hearing all the awards I nearly clapped when he was introduced!

  • He played Jesus.

  • @1001thewoodsman

I know. The first film I ever saw him in was Maid in Manhattan when I was about eight. But I will always remember him as Amon Goeth. I saw it two years ago, and it just blew me away. The next day, I watched it again, skipping to all of his scenes.....I was mesmerized. I then watched Red Dragon, just because he is amazing at playing villains....or complicated characters.

  • No one could have played Amon Goth better then he did. First time I saw Schindler list I was honestly terrified of him. Truly amazing actor.

  • hes homo

  • I could listen to him talk forever.

  • @tpen93 Ha yes. In Bruges is one of my favourites!

  • Does anybody know where Ralph currently lives? I can't find a proper answer to that on the internet. Some pages say that his residence was in London, but some other pages say he lived somewhere in the US. But those vague answers aren't really satisfying.. :)

  • @CocoLady93 I met him in London two years ago while he was walking home :)

I don't know if its a permanent residence though...

  • @CocoLady93 the dark lord is dead he lives nowhere....just kidding

  • love how everybody get's the chills when Voldemord gets on the screen

  • I don't understand why this man does not have an oscar..

  • His answer for his favorite toy. SO CUTE.

  • he has a nose????? xD

  • he is voldermort!

  • Dang I wouldn't expect him to be voldemort!!

  • Why is everybody calling him Ralph ?

  • @Nautilus1972 So it's pronounced 'Ray Fines' but should be pronounced "Ralf Fee-enn" according to the French pronunciation. I love the evolution of language!

  • @Nautilus1972 It's pronounced "Rafe" but because his last name starts with an "f" you wouldn't pronounce it twice as in "RaFe Fines" (it's too much work) so you use the "f" of his last name as a sort of connective consonant so when you say his full name it sounds like "Ray Fines" but if you were to say just his first name it would be pronounced "Rafe."

    Does that make sense? haha

  • @kNARR0079 Did you ask him that? ;]

  • @ zom8 135 hehe I wud too....hes so handsome ;)

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HE IS VOLDEMORT!!!!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE his voice it's so sexy and soothing

  • @sanjac07 how about Kevin Spacey's voice? :P

  • Still sexy and hadsome!

  • spider what a film

  • Ohhh Ralph Fiennes....mmm...

  • I watched Wuthering Heights (1992), and see how great actor this guy is. He's among all the best actors ever.

  • Onegin... God, he looks extremely hot in that movie

  • cool, I never knew how to pronounce his name^^ The way he speaks reminds me in Johnny Depp.

  • Voldemort! :)

  • He looks a bit like liam nelson from the side here O_o wtf

  • @thepadowan he does, except when he stands up. Ralph is about 5'11", and Liam is at least 6'4".

  • love his voice. so smooth ;)

  • Why beep the fuck? What a don though, amazing x

  • All I hear is Ramses <3333

  • woww the beginning is nothing but kissing ass lol

  • i wanna name one of my kids after him... i love how his name is pronounced!!

  • At 4:30 when he said "Well we all have dark sides, don't we?" my first thought was,

yeeaaah.... like killing Harry Potter? Please tell me I wasn't the only one...

  • lord voldemort <3

    how sexy he is

  • Harry?! where are you?!?!

  • sexy sexy sexy sexy sexy sexy sexy

  • ralph fiennes looks like liam neeson

  • @MisterSynyster A hotter Liam Neeson.

  • @MisterSynyster Both are hot.

  • The hottest man alive

  • i 1st got really interested in him after seeing The Reader

  • its you-know-who-that-must-not-be-named whre the fuck is potter when you need him

  • I hate it when everyone is like, ''It's Voldemort'' ..I'm not being funny guys, he does play Voldemort terrifically but he's been in way more films than Harry Potter and played such amazing roles. He is such an amazing actor and an amazing man in general, he deserves to be credited and recognised for all the other character's he has portrayed, not just Voldemort.

  • @beffjedkinss

Ur right, but thats just what its always like with actors that play a very famous role

Take elijah wood... any film with him u watch... u always see frodo

  • @beffjedkinss Its Voldemort

  • @YouAreHereification Oh, I never realised :0 lol no.

  • @YouAreHereification More like Tom Riddel before he became Voldemort. ;)

  • Respond to this video... I'm sure he doesn't mind being recognized as a major character in the largest grossing movie series in the history of mankind.

  • @templerunes Yes, obviously he'd be thrilled to have been one of the main parts of something as big as Harry Potter, all I'm saying is he's been in a lot more movies & people should acknowledge that.

  • @beffjedkinss Exactly if your going to say anything say It's Amon Göth or It's Francis Dolarhyde, far better performances out of his villain performances.

  • @beffjedkinss omg its voldemort!

  • @beffjedkinss VOLDERMORT!!!

  • @beffjedkinss HEATHCLIFF!!

  • I love that his name is pronounced Rayf!!!

  • I love this oh so much.

    Where is the "LOVE" button

  • ♥_♥

  • him, jason isaacs, gary oldman, alan rickman..etc, GOD i love harry potter dilfs!

  • Academy, it`s about time to recognize this talent. Not just with another nomination. :)

BTW, recently I have got hold of a CD, Rudyard`s Kipling`s readings, narrated by Ralph. He reads so compellingly I can totally feel all the poetry. Transformation from Lord Voldemort to Lord Masterword. :)

  • As good an actor as Ralph Fiennes is, it wouldn't surprise me if he eventually wins his Oscar for directing instead. He reminds me of Clint Eastwood when he talks about the craft of theater. He has that larger vision that's common to actors who make a successful jump to directing, like Eastwood or Hanks or Welles.

  • hot in many senses...

  • RalpH is THE EBST ACTOR i love him :)

  • yes you do get a few finnes for being so finnes sexy lol

  • where is part 4 ?

  • He's so hot. And I don't care if he's 30 years older than me! This guy can play ANYTHING. I really do believe he's the greatest living actor.

  • @dizzy365

Tell me about it. He's 32 years older than me, and I think that he's the hottest thing on the planet.

  • dear lord his accent...

  • Ultimate hotness.....HOTNESS....at 4:51!

  • I LOVED when he said "Las meñeñas" XDDDD in fact it's called "Las Meninas" but I suppose it's really difficult for a non-spanish speaker to say it in a proper way.

Anyway, i love this man and I loved the whole interview. And by the way, does anyone have part 4 of this interview? I've been looking for it but I haven't found it... U.U'

  • I LOVE THIS MAN!!!!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE THIS MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HE IS HEATHCLIFF!

  • @dandanjanett1 I TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh my God. That's a one minute, 27 second introduction. I did NOT need that.

  • did he call him 'ray' ?

  • @LUCII3R3 it's spelled ralph but the name is pronounced like ray

  • did he call him 'ray' ?

  • he gave me chills when he played heathcliff in wuthering heights.

  • shit town of Ipswich. Lazio fans hate that city. Bastards

  • his 'dark side' huh. we all know all well about that now.

  • hey voldy wassup

  • I had seen him in Schindler`s list, after that I did not see anything of his work until Harry Potter. Ralph, forgive me. :) HP is fine, but I have discovered quite a few movies of his since. This actor is MESMERIZING and I am surprised he hasn`t been given the Academy Award yet. I mean, if I just think of "The Constant Gardner", I am lost for words. He emanates warmth.

If I ever visit London again, I hope to see him in the theater play. He is inspirational.

    Greetings from Slovenia

  • he should hv used his mothers maiden name

    Ralph Lash sounds way cooler

  • @FayeFaye30 or Rayph Lash

  • i dont understand wy is ralph the duche in every movie: harry potter voldermort, in red dragon Francis Dolarhyde and in Schindler's List Amon Göth. why?

  • The Dark Lord has spoken!!!

  • without knowing the pronounciation of his name u wouldnt know if he was english or welsh

  • OMG. I cannot belive that face will become Voldermort's face.

  • i know hes hot and all but hes nowhere near a supermegafoxyawesomehot as joe walker!!!!

  • Ralph is older than my dad, and yet I still would...

  • @zom8135 You're not the only one

  • @zom8135 Gross

  • Sexy has no age :P

  • @MissMaybellen Indeed ;)

  • @MissMaybellen Amen, sistah!

  • @zom8135 it's ok i'll say it. I still would do terribly dirty things to him

  • @zom8135 Shine his shoes?

  • @InvisibleDiary I've heard he's pretty kinky, so yeah, why not!? lol

  • @zom8135 hell, i'm a guy and yet still i would... :D

  • @zom8135

    I don't understand...

  • CRRRUCCCIOO

  • AVADA KEDAVRA!!!

  • @HeadbutKneecap

    xD!!

  • @HeadbutKneecap do u think he should do spells at the audience lol

  • @teamrocket87 FUCK YEAH!!

  • so thats how you pronounce that name..

  • what movie is that from at 1:11?

  • @jolly113 The shot of him holding a woman's hand is Onegin. The side-on face shot is Wuthering Heights. =)

  • Harry waters

  • why doesn't ralph fiennes have an oscar yet??? its outrageous

  • I love him as Heathcliff on Wuthering heights <333

  • I tell you what, this is one great show. Takes a massive dump all over letterman, etc those clowns can't conduct a semi-intelligent interview

  • @efcdk92 ppl still have the same reaction as a letterman interview - like "hey hes hot i'd do him" or "look its the dude from Harry Potter"

  • @FayeFaye30 don't see how thats relevant to what i said mind

  • a toy Theatre?

  • He's great, but it's a shame he's had to flounder in so many mediocre and solemn historical films that aspire to Really Important Pictures. Better to see him in a contemporary setting like in Spider and In Bruges.

  • He really has a sexy voice.

  • Rafe Fines LOL

  • You probably hear this at least once a week, but what happened to part IV?

  • There are certain people who are so prodigiously talented that you feel privileged to be born in a generation where you can see their work. Ralph is such an actor. I feel the same way as someone who was born to see James Dean, Brando, Olivier, etc. He's truly a gift to those who love cinema and theater, acting and art. Brilliant, Ralph helped me not only to become discerning, but to truly appreciate acting and good work.

  • When he described the toy he had when he was little he conveyed so much excitement- like he was that kid again. It's strange how some actors can put a feeling right into you.

  • I feel horrible. Voldemort is attractive. My inner D.A. member thinks this is crazy!

  • @acciobooks19 Voldemort does have a fascinating physical description.

  • @HeatherRose87 Prior to his whole soul being torn apart over, and over, and over again :P

  • LOOK FOR PETER SERAFINOWICZ "RALPH FIENNES" LOL

  • He is beautiful.

  • @rpowarz hell yeah!

  • The scene of Amon Goeth in front of the mirror is epic.

He stares into his beloved blue eyes, swipes his hair aside while looking at his right profile down his nose for a moment... impressed at his majesty and awesome, absolute power of life and death... and then, magnanimously, with great pause he bestows his hand upon the mirror with a blessing "I pa'don you." He then looks down at something on his finger nail that bothers him, he winces, and glares back at the mirror with a devilish look.

  • OMG it's Voldemort everyone run

  • @iS2TaylorLautner2 Don't speak his name, you fool!

  • @iS2TaylorLautner2 Why is everyone always saying this!? It's just a bad guy he played in some really stupid movies, get over it. :)

  • @iS2TaylorLautner2 Voldemort is a pussy compared to Amon Goth. Amon would make Voldemort cry like a little baby, begging for mercy.
