Wow, Really impressed! Good Shit, Love Maiden. A dude, who was a Maiden fanatic let me borrow a bunch of their CD's. He stated that they were the best band ever. Ok. I thought. Driving around , I was like yeah, this is pretty good.  After listening to this song, as I was parked reading the lyrics, Holy Fuck. This is about Dune?, I had just finished reading it. Then I looked back at all the lyrics, and concepts of the albums. WW2, Egypt, Dune. Maiden! Your thoughts on Final Frontier?

@phantomcreeps I thought Final Frontier was one of Maiden's bast albums. At first, I thought it was an average sort of Maiden album. It took a few listens before I could really appreciate it. Now it's one of my favourites. What did you think of it?

@lyon1535 I had the same reaction as you. Thought it was pretty good, the more I listened It grew on me big time. I would break it down, as there is a first layer of newer experimental sounds, and slowly your realize this is wrapped around the Older Maiden style. The more you listen it seems to pop out. Kind of the best of both worlds. Mixing of old and new. Good stuff.

its sad that this book is so underrated man. the movies(the 2 new ones) were amazing, but the books are legendary. none of my friends have even heard of it. its sad man. but this song too is underrated, to tame a land. to me, one of maidens best songs. same with rime of the ancient mariner. dune is still possibly the greatest book series

Your right the book was one of the best I have ever read. The new movies were pretty good just a little under budget. Had they filmed in the desert it would have been a lot better.

Hence I had to use scense from the 1984 movie and a few desert Documentries.

Without a doubt Dune is one of the best ever written.

But give Heinlien a chance, he was very good. Unfortunately Iron Maiden never wrote a song about one of his books
