  • That's amazing...

  • i know this may seem like a stupid question but should i use interior or exterior paint ?

  • LOL when i saw this i thought it was so amatuer, and then when you pulled the bowls off my jaw just about dropped to the floor!! ^_^

you just got you a subscriber my friend : D

  • Love it thanks :)

  • hey i don;t mean to criticize(btw awesome job) but it looks kind of wierd because you have shadows on ur planets, but no light source. If you know how to make shooing stars,do that only like a star pattern. Just a heads up.

  • Thx for the help I'm gonna try this in art class.

  • Great vid really helps didn't know you had to use glossy posterboard and thanks for including the prices of things a t walmart haha

  • @Reecie5699 you can use canvas as well... but just needs to be glossy... You can use any surface that is not porous... i.e. Fibreglass, mirror, metal, glass, gloss paper.... Even wood, but needs to be coated in a few layers of a neutral colour (white/black/clear) to give it a seal.

  • I use the same paint! :D

  • THAT SUCKS

  • What kind of paper do you use?

  • great video, don't know why you quit, this is great...

  • Y not straight across shadows?

  • This looked like something cool to try with your boys. It is arty and not wussie.

  • what kind of spray is used ?

  • Beautiful. Neat techniques with the various planets. I would just used one type and that would have came out mundane. Thanks!

  • Is there a certain paint u should use

  • OJ, youre awesomee!

  • that was pretty cool man!

  • THANK YOU!!!... just because of this, i sold it at school for 30 dollars!!! :D

  • is poster board the sheet you make project on at school?(if you understand what i mean)

  • yes it is like thick paper.

  • OMG!! THATS AMAZING!

  • Great tutorial mate, keep it up!

  • can u do it on concrete and brick?

  • Umm, I've never tried it, if I were you I would start on glossy posterboard, then once you've got the hang of it try different materials. And it probably won't work if you're planning to do this on a wall, because the paint would drip down. You're going to want to do it on a table or the ground.

  • @SpevenStielberg I'm working on a very large mural on the wall right now using the spray paints. You do have to do it VERY carefully and add as little paint possible especially if adding layers. I've 7 planets finished now and working on nebules.

  • @SpevenStielberg wat kind of poster board ya use

  • on concrete and brick is grafity, even if it look like same thing it completely different.

  • im i graffiti writer -tagger wot eva u wanna call it. this video is gr8! im gunna try it out! is it easy 2 do first time? plz reply

  • It's pretty easy the first time, but only if you have the right materials. The first time I tried it was discouraging and didn't work, because the posterboard I was using wasn't glossy and soaked up all the paint, so I couldn't make textures. Once I got the right posterboard it was very easy though. Good luck!

  • how much paint do you spray? because i think im using the right side but like my paint is really sloppy...either its too wet or not wet enough....do you recommend a certain type of paint? glossy metallic matt?

  • gloss paint on gloss paper, that should work just keep trying with different amounts you might be too close to the paper hope i helped :)

  • @mattread95 It depends for me it was tough the first time, but im getting better slowly check out my videos

  • hey dude

can i use canvas than glossy posterboard?

    please reply

  • I would not use canvas because it would soak up the paint before you could apply your textures. I would definitely use glossy posterboard if you can find it.

  • great tutorial - can i use every spraypaint?

  • holy $h!+

  • i really want to try this now :D

  • wow dude i been spray painting for 2 years and i never thought of space...

  • dude thats really good oh and thnx for the tut really helped me out

  • Speven, i want to ask you what paper do you use, is it a special painting paper or just simpe A1?

  • Actually it's just normal posterboard (Must be glossy on one side or it won't work), I think I got it at walmart, you could also try walgreens, I've heard people say to get it there.

  • i live in england... what sort of spray paint is tht? we hav no walmart =(

  • Umm... Actually it's walmart brand spraypaint xD called ColorPlace I think. But people use all sorts of different brands, I just use that cus it's the cheapest. You can also try Krylon or Rustoleum, which are probably a lot better than walmart brand (but more expensive), it has to be gloss based paint though.

  • Will newspaper work instead of magazine paper?

  • I've always used magazine paper, and I'm pretty sure other people have used newspaper, I tried it once, and it didn't work as well for me, so you can try it and see if it works for you.

  • Okay thanks... This video inspired me to go and start spray paiting my own art work. Im going to go get all the stuff after I am back on my travels.

  • Oh I heard they discontuined the Wal-Mart spray paint, ColorPlace. Do you know if thats true? Im cant go to Wal-Mart until after August.

  • I have no idea, I haven't gotten new paint in awhile, if it's true, you might have to go with Krylon, which is 1 step up from walmart brand, but slightly more expensive. Whatever you use, make sure it's gloss paint, otherwise it won't work.

  • that's amazing! *gives brief hug* the planets look so real...

    ~Cassady/Lydia

  • Oh, my gosh! That was incredible! I wish I could do that! You HAVE to show me that whenever I see you next! And yes, I expect you to bring all of that stuff! :D

  • crazy awesome man, im so jealous.

  • Easy, easy guys. You can ALL be my best friend xD and for the T-Shirt I'm just gonna take a plain white T and do permanent marker on it, do it yourself :P

  • Yeah! count me in on that t-shirt!!

  • Wait, I thought I was his best friend. Yeah, it's definitely me! Seriously, OJ a man of many talents! Love it! We'll have to get together and you can show me in person! By the way, I want a brief hug T-shirt!
