I have this phone and I do not pay for a data package. The phone has wifi so i use that for internet. My phone was bought off ebay and activated via automated prompts when calling in. Hope this clears confusion.

No, because it is a verizon phone it can't be using with Cingular because they use CDMA and Cingular uses GSM. The verizon phone doesn't have a sim card slot.

.25 mm jack, standard cell phone port. If you want to use normal headphones, you'll need to get an adaptor from radioshack or someplace similar. That'd only be about $5 probably, but it is a bit bulky

But it depends on how big the icons on the screen are. If they are very small, you may need a stylus to accurately press them, especially if you have large fingers.

actually my uncle has the the samsung.. i compared it with xv6800 from verizon wireless.. in my opinion the xv6800 is more user friendly then the samsung.. samsung has few weird buttons.. and sometimes it makes it difficult to use. and it's preaty much the same speed except storage space on the phone is a little better i got 164.41 MB on it compared to samsungs 64 MB.. still a great phone .. both of them

I think the iPhones are well overpriced, and people are buying them now mostly as a status symbol and to look important, cool, rich, etc. You can buy a much cheaper phone that is better than the iPhone if you just take your time to shop around.

the blackberry does have wifi. She has the 8830 world edition which means it can be used with cdma networks and gsm networks. Does the i760 have that no. And my phone the env2 has a better heyboard than the i760. You only like the i760 because of the touch screen. BUt yet it costs more than the iphone and the iphone has better features and does more and so does the voyager and the dare. This phone is out dated.

the i760 is far from out dated it just got the wm6.1 update and the 3rd party apps you can have on it make it perform better than the iphone. The i760 can do what the iphone does and ton more. So think again when you say its crap and even consider that the iphone is better than it.

if you know how to take care of your phone your screen does not scratch. i dont care if the iphone is thinner i like having the slide out keyboard. i can make my own ringtones and put them on there so no need for downloading. you dont have to jailbreak the i760 to put any kind of 3rd pty program on it like the iphone. you dont have a bunch of icons to push around on a screen which would get boring. can change the iphone interface to look like anything you want it to. yes you can use summerboards

Most people are right handed & dial w/ the right hand. Samsung should have put the number dial pad on the bottom left of the phone for easy thumb-dialing. Seems like it'd be difficult to hold and dial w/ your right hand.
