Omg the ignorance in this vid makes me laugh :) so you got veggies, soymilk, rice, and calorie free beverage with the vegan certification... Wheres your protein? Theres so much good meat imitation out there for beginners like you (and me too). Fav part at the soymilk section "calcium enriched...does that mean its got dairy in it?" or "why dont you get milk flavored soymilk?" this isnt a discouragement from going vegan, but an incouragement to surf the web (especially vegan RD: great for everyth
"Welcome to the world of veganism" No, welcome to the world of Whole Foods, and organics. Vegan diet is cheaper than an omnivorous one (I live off food stamps). If you don't do your research it's hard. Try it for 40 days and don't be a pussy. :)
Get Meatless Monday out there! The Humane Society of the United States just made an incredible video that explains Meatless Monday in a fun and enticing way. Check it out and spread it around! Oh and bump this comment to the top! v=tpziz8cJMaI
By the way, I would probably shoot myself on your diet! DULL. today I made chocolate peanut butter cups... stick some sweetened peanut butter on top of slices of banana then melt some chocolate and cover.. put in the freezer and yummy times. I but sugar free chocolate and peanut butter then add xylotol- infinitely healthier than reeses, taste amazing :)...oh and chocolate tofu mouse is nice too :)
Lol, you are so unprepared! Just eating from your average supermarket veg isle is not healthy! this is why veganism gets a bad rep! where is your B12, Protein and omega fatty oils ..'where do they get calcium from?' hahaha, say hello to broccoli and spinach mister- you have been brainwashed by the dairy industry, dairy actually depleats your body of calcium due to the casein it contains counteracting it. look it up.
You shoudl've done some more research xD You don't need to fit within the titles Vegan and or vegetarian. Also, there are meat substitutes. I've stopped eating meat but at the same time, cooking meals that people normally eat is helpful. Also, going to the store and buying a bunch of vegetables and fruits isn't going to hlep you. ( it never helped me, it'd either stay in the fridge and not get used or I wouldn't use any of it ) Don't just buy random. But indeed indeed.
You really should have done more research before making this leap. I've been a vegetarian for over a year and I'm starting to transfer over to a vegan diet.
I KNOW how much research has to go into understanding veganism from the nutritional stand point.
i saw how you passed up the fresh green beans, but if you throw a handfull into boiling water just to soften them a bit.. then saute them in minced garlic tiny bit, and adobo it will change your life yum
remember the tofu! it sux to cook but it tastes great when you add flavor and such. I've been vegan/vegetarian for a while and its really expensive but totally worth it! keep it up! :-D
@riotgrrrrl1288 I'm a college student but i just buy the 365 brand everyday value at wholefoods. then again, i only buy miso soup, tomato basil soup, hummus/cucumber sandwhichs, fruit(grapes, oranges), black beans, brown rice, veggie stir fry, and multigrain bread. Sometimes I treat myself to indian food or veggie delight sandwhich at subway. :)

Wow you are doing it girl with your vegen diet - how are you gonna get the protein and are still currently doing this vegen diet? How is it? You got heart cause I wouldn't be able to do that - I love meat too much lmao
Was a big bust. But was worth the shot and many of the food were yummy. I tried to get back on the wagon and failed 3 days after that. Oh well, maybe next time.
@TearsNoMore87 Well, I'm glad you tried, and I hope you decide to give it another shot. :) I recommend purchasing Becoming Vegan, by Vesanto Melina and Brenda Davis. There's also a wealth of good information online, such as the Vegetarian Resource Group website, which includes lots of vegan info. That could help you with problems like finding good recipes that satisfy you, ensuring proper nutrition, etc. :)
@TearsNoMore87 Try it for 40 days and don't be a pussy. If you don't do your research, it's hard. Starters should look for meat alternative, you're shopping in this video the way I show now! :) I hope you give it a proper shot.
@MorenitaSoul Protein is the very last thing you have to worry about. That's a big myth, actually all the long life studies have been done on people who ate a low protein diet.
I used to love meat too - flavor was never an issue. It's a question of character, integrity, and compassion.
@MorenitaSoul You get all the protein you need from vegan diets. Most ppl in N America get WAY too much protein. That's actually what causes osteoporosis. Look into it. :-)
Hey girlie! Yeah, that's been my biggest weight loss kick ass of late! I've cut down to nothing but occasional shrimp twice or 3 times a week, and no other meat products and minimal egg and dairy! I've managed to shed off 6 pounds effortlessly! Not only that its healthier and keeps you a little more up beat every day! I'll be making a video to night so be sure to catch it, it'll update all the new weight loss victories! Love ya!
I tried that tea before. 5 dollars plus for one!! It was insane and idk i didn't get those flavors but the ones I got tasted horrible. Maybe it's b/c I didn't put any sugar in it :D
And you can make chili with brocolli and spinach and stuff in it. Use light or dark kidney beans along with that 30% less sodium chili seasoning or taco seasoning. Don't be scared of corn, most of it wastes out.
2 cups of vegetarian chili = less than 200 very filling calories. Protein, fiber, vegetables. Yum. You can eat that once a day and be straight.
I'm in "recovery" so I'm trying to lose the excess treatment weight and stabilize and this is a good dish.
@TearsNoMore87 A mi me encanta...y la batata tambien! I especially love it fried or boiled with some red onions!!! Yum-O!!! LOL No me diga que a ti tampoco te gusta el mangu!!!!
your humor kills me. "eww this looks all old and shit"... subtle humor i love... ps i could never go vegan but for 2 weeks what the hell... not rite now though. i miss shopping in US supermarkets. the ones over here succccccck... no varieties - selection is horrible.

it seems to me that you rushed into it without researching it. It's incredibly easy to go vegan and some recipe books would help :D
