  • 1080>240.. plx?

  • Memories :)

  • GLASTONBURY :o)

  • Just listened to this 5 times on the trot, what a hardcore hangover cure

  • yeah, i was talking with my brother about it. those times and that music. there was a magic about it. an enthusiasm, a hedonistic will to experiment and make it all happen by the end of the millenium. it seems we are still collecting the pieces sometimes. orb, orbital, fsol... gotta love it.

  • dat is prachtig was vroeger mijn slaapliedje

  • grandissimi gli orb

  • Can someone email me a high quality mp3 of this version? Message me, please.

  • i thought the original version was 42 minutes?

  • @panda792 The full version is 39:57, because the administrators of the UK singles chart

had decided anything over 40 minutes would be classified as an album, not a single. LOL!

  • @Funkywhiteboy63

ive got it on a cd single but i think ive got the american import paid about 8 pounds for it around 94 any idea what it did chart wise im sure it got into the top 20

  • @Funkywhiteboy63

I think in todays "pop" culture, anything over 40 minutes is a recording career. But fair play..even Pink Floyd would have a problem making a 20 minute song..!

Ahh..those days in North London..Heavenly Jukebox, Club X, and Club Aquarium..odd idea.

  • @kerrzo1971 If Carlsberg did comments.....beautiful words!

  • memories :))) no stresses , just good times ....living in the moment ...makes me want 2 cry ...couldnt live like tht 4ever but i am so glad i was there , living in the moment then .....tripping away :)))))

  • The Orb are playing in April Bank Holiday 2011 at Indigo2 with 808 State and Lone

  • This is the first time I've listened to this since about 1995. To each and every one of you out there who danced, partied, dated models, crashed bikes, ran drugs, ran out of drugs, punched the sky, lost the plot, found the plot, shivered in flats, cooked in Ibiza, lost in life, gained in live, went to heaven and stayed on earth-

I salute you. We're on this trip together. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it sucks but invariably these beats come back and keep us smiling.

  • @kerrzo1971 I think you have captured everything I just went through listening to this song since I first heard it that long ago...I can remember where, when and with who, and on what it all went down. It literally was a whimsical endeavor that I found this. Thank you.

  • @kerrzo1971 Perhaps the most astonishing meaningful thing I've ever read on Youtube, a website that reveals a population that is dumbing down along with the rest of the world. I salute YOU for showing me that there are people like you in this world.

  • @kerrzo1971

amen to that fella im with you all the way...you sound like my kinda guy.

  • @kerrzo1971 nuff said.

  • @kerrzo1971 I rest my case...brilliantly said

  • @kerrzo1971 Fuck me mate, you described my life!!

    I too, salute you!!!!

    Great tune!

    Great scene back then,

No tune has ever reached out and pulled me in like this one!

Maybe Future sound of london, Papua New Guinea!

    keep it real kid

  • @kerrzo1971 I found these guys and this song in 2001. boy they have changed my life for ever. I have seen, heard and experienced so much to their music ever since. and now after about 10 years coming back to it I realize just how real it all was and how strong my emotions tied to this still are. try as you may and try as you might you will not find anything as awesome as these tracks.

  • @jsdraven I think you are 100% correct. Sublimity is the only way to describe it

  • @kerrzo1971

Well clicked on a porn link and ended here!

BUT I can confirm Kerrzo done all of them things! (apart from dating models..he took what was going as he had the finest set of beer goggles known the man!)

    Hope your well mate

    Sid

  • @kerrzo1971 And for some of us - that journey is just beginning.

  • Like I was back with my mates in my student bedsit. I sometimes wonder where my youth went, and if it was worth it. When I listen to when tunes like this they bring everything back to me, and well, it might not have been worth it, but it was fucking ace.

  • Music that sums up the early 90s for me.

  • like the macs itunes visual. Fits perfect.

  • @dergeileguru11, tell yur father that he and the rest of the band....are 'the chosen ones'!....my life would never of been the same if i had never discovered 'the orb'

  • @roonus1 I CAN AGREE WITH THAT! I was in Peru and I had a trip to St. petersburg russia....and what I did was play that tape on my walkman back and forth, i never took my headphones off . it was surreal and it changed my life forever.

  • lüg nich rum..

  • @dergeileguru11 Your father and the ORB are very talented musical genious absolute legends.....this brings back the memories WOW Peace out mate!

  • @dergeileguru11 Youre father should be knighted, and being Irish, it takes a lot for me to say that!

  • @dergeileguru11 thats cool dude what did your dad too in the group?

  • @druglover200

he was responsible for about 30% of the songwriting (even if thats not really official) and he did all the soundengineering, but after the first album he left the orb to follow other plans

  • @dergeileguru11 so he was like a tech guy( did not mean any disprespect by this) with influence on the work? thats cool dude!!!.....ive had some cool relatives myself.

  • @druglover200

i honestly dont know if he went on stage with them (he did alot before with other bands, but with no big big success. just small acts) but basically yes, he was a tech guy. im gonna ask him and write you straight back with more information.

  • @dergeileguru11 thats still really fucken tight dude.

  • Great Classic !! Nice Vid !!remebering the good old times !!! :)

Melody Fox (aka the Princess of Rock)

  • how did you get this track?

    can I download it somehow?

  • ditto that where'd ya get this? Is'nt this the one-sided 7"?

or it's same cover art 10" & plays same both sides...?

  • been waiting to hear the 40 minute version all my life. where is it? help!

  • a good music store or ebay perhaps?

  • Ebay has it... keep looking, it shows up!

  • ...and you must hear it. You won't be disappointed! Google: "blue room" orb blog 40

  • love the orb

  • 80s and 90s music was awesome!

with few exceptions the 00s are lacking great innovative tunes.

great come down tunes for maximum chillin.

  • Absolutely. Nothing today matches the likes of The Orb, Orbital, Future Sound of London, or Young American Primitive. There are still some good tunes coming out, but I don't think anything now matches 80s and 90s electronic music.

  • this vid reminds me of an acid trip fpr some reason..lol idk y

  • The best ever comedown track..

  • hmm , chillout album by the KLF has a say in that title for me

  • my no1 come down tune from way back when.

Antone got the full version id love a copy again.

  • Yeah still sounds amazing and I shall still play it 20 years from now!

  • haha..yeah mos def

  • does anyone remember Aquamarine *dizzy fox*?

  • I want a time machine. Early 90's, hold tight, im coming.....

  • I was there! I know what your saying. If you build it, I want to go with. I saw these guys back in 1992 and 1993. I miss that vibe that was flying around back then. Wish we could get it back.

  • We were there my friend. If i build a machine, your coming, but in the mean time, have no fear and do not worry, that vibe will always be with you.

  • @tilerman you read my mind....cheers

  • @tilerman dude this song is exactly like a time machine XD. Its sorta like those songs that make you dazed and your just like whoa I wanna go back in time, Thats what I wanna do

  • R.I.P. Andy Hughes

    awesome awesome work

  • Seen then at Cardiff in 92 and Glastonbury 93 think it was, and getting to see them again at solfest 09

  • god, this is bliss

this changed everything for me when it came out--

    and god created the Orb--

it's too bad they (LX and Co) forgot what was great about them...

    Adventures... is great

    UFOrb was epic

Orbus Terranum.... ahead of it's time

    Orblivion... brilliant

    but then what happened ?

  • Sad but true :[

  • Reefer Spin In The Galaxy, Blue Room, indian summers, Badorb, deaths, births, chinease cycles, Rootmasters, Transit Kings then High Frequency Bandwidth mirror system & beyond a plastic planet...

  • MDMA marinated brain.. ahhhhh . use what you got. cool video for this track..

  • LETS BRING IT BACK!!!!!

  • Mr.Wobble in de area!

  • "no change is sexy"

  • As far as I'm aware the 40min version of this song was and still is the longest commercially released song ever made, other than classical.

  • I've loved this ever since buying the 40 minute casstte single back in 1992.

  • ting tong , i was there, everything was purple, man what memories, another secret world, good times, wow, we knew it couldnt last, but it lasted longer than i ever hoped,

    peace and love

  • I first heard this in D.C. on 99.1 WHFS on Zoltar the Brother from another Planet's Saturday night trance/eletronica show.

  • My dog loves this song! He calms down and falls asleep every time he hears this song.

  • i love your dog

  • love it

  • have seen them live twice!!

  • OH YES!!!!!

Shivers down the back of my spine......!!!

Oh when I was so many years younger, listening to this on DSL...... :)

  • the album version lasts 42 mins! was (and still is?) the longest single in british chart history.

  • 17:34 actually ;)

  • album version → 17'34'' full length → 40'00'' !!!!!

  • This & Assassin are my 2 fave Orb tracks. Great stuff thanks for this.

  • tripping out in the woods .... the orb were usually the soundtrack... purple omms were usually the tabs...sweet memories...

  • we had these in 90,blew our nuts off, total trip man!!!
