im mad becuz my last computer i tried that on died because it was so cold the processor cracked in half! never ever ever ever EVER!!! use liquid oxygen.
Let's assume this: This cold product is -200C, and ambient temp is around...say 20C. It's a biiiiig impact. Although, great chilly water, NOT TO DRINK though.
This is the p4 we're talking about here. The last steppings could hit 7 or so on ln2, so it's no surprise that THG was hitting 5...in fact, when this video was filmed, people over at extremesystems were hitting 6
Was that thermal paste enough on cpu to transfer the heat from cpu to heatsink?.

Yes.

White compound for that??
I would demend the compound to be at least 50% pure silver.

noob u need to be professionel to do this

Lmao- a phase change cooler on the nb? Lol...
erictech603 3 years ago
wow nice work there. hmm...i think it would be possible for me to overclock my processor to 5Ghz, because mines 3.2Ghz (Pentium 4). nice job but. 5/5
darkmaster010 3 years ago
I have a 3.4 and it struggles to get 3.8 or even 4...
AaronNicoli 3 years ago
loool in a couple of years they will be useing cpus with 10ghz and normal fans and you guy shave to hook it up to a fridge to get 5ghz :D
kalasnikov47 3 years ago
Probably will never get 10Ghz, we are looking more at a multi-core future.

You're not supposed to spill the liquid oxygen onto the processor..
Stevenup7004 3 years ago
uhmmmm....
AaronNicoli 3 years ago
hahaha you have no idea what you are talking about.
also take your "liquid oxygen" and replace it with Liquid Nitrogen next time.

can you keep your system that way
forever?
12ESKEIMI 3 years ago
with all that condensation, no.
dunlrock 3 years ago 2
Not unless you could keep a continuous supply of liquid N2 handy as it would continuously evaporate at room temperature.

lol, good luck fitting that in a case hehe....although id love to see it in a COsmos with top-loading nitrogen

the record, i beleive, is around 5.76-ish on a 45nm penryn. So sum1 saying they can do 8 without the use of alien artifacts is lying.
adrienspawn 4 years ago
Actually I wouldn't be surprised if 8 was obtainable on the last P4 stepping

theres a video in my chanell with 8 ghz overclock=)

no one needs that kind of speed yet
cotton509 4 years ago
that kind of speed..
Dude their's cpu's out today that are faster than that on stock..

it's just sad how my processor 6.2 with no problems on air... gonna post a vid of trying to hit 8 this summer...
45shfifty 4 years ago
Hey, you may be right but that sounds pretty far fetched, if that is true I would imagine it would be world record status.
What is the cpu, whats the FSB / Multiplier?
And when you say 8 this summer do you mean on air?
AaronNicoli 4 years ago
I think youre mistaking something. Standard processors doesnt excel max 4 GHZ.
dalle211 4 years ago 2
depends. On LN2, a 65nm P4 could very likely hit 8.
thealsir 4 years ago
can you smell something?...........sniff sniff sniff...........ah i know its bullshit

Sure you did. What, do you live in the arctic circle? Ambient temp does make a big difference with air cooling.
mygaffer 3 years ago
Sure does, my server room often hits 40+ deg C, when I forget to leave the cooling on :)

No one even believes that he used it lol!

He's using a 3.4GHZ CPU, in case you wondered.

Thanks I actually did wonder! :)

Nice video, btw. where can i find all these older Toms hardware videos? Thanks in advance,
