Blind Guardian lost their great sound,they sounds more like a power symphonic metal band from Finland or Sweden,I really prefer their old speed metal sound,aggressive and full of passion,they lost their real style after all,but I also say they stll have great music after 20 years.

Hi! Well, I have all the BG albums, but the last ones have not grown on me in the least. I like some songs, I do. But I don't love them. I don't like how Hansi's been singing with that light falsetto he started with after Nightfall. But this last album (I have it now) is really good. I'm however, again, disappointed in the bad sound quality. I know that's because of their own studio though, but I miss the great kick ass sound of Imagin & Nightf. I love the new album though! :)

I was completely in LOVE with SFB, IFTOS, e NIME - a little disappointed with ANATO and ATITM. But this is way over what I could immagine.

Really, its a brand new style, and they really mixed ATITM with something like IFTOS.

It's awesome dont get me wrong i love BG have done for years n years but i worry that their formula is a wee bit tired and i hate myself for saying that.

Mabye it's my musical palet that changed however as far as BG go i do think its one of they albums that will be a classic in a die hard's eyes! :) well done again Blind Guardian.

P.S the real orchestral sounds are a fantastic edition.

@TROFAS666 well. A twist in myth and this new album is indeed very new blind guardian. But as they point out on the interview on ATIW album they're trying something new. Fusioning the old blind guardian with the new. To me it works perfectly fine.

There'll never be a Bards song 2 or Tanelorn 2. But hopefully the new album will set new satisfying bars

When you compare one power metal band with another, they tend to sound the same when it comes to vocals.

Blind Guardian is diverse, in that sense.

@knightralf Uhm... knight, did u see the first guardian's live performance? Hansi WAS better live than on studio cds. I think that with ages he somewhat ruined his voice (or simply got older). He actually records the songs one at a time, with breaks and being in the better condition, not in a 2 hours-long performance with little or no break: that's why he's so better in studio versions... This is due to the fact his unique timbre "sacrifices" the voice. BG do not use filters as far as I know=P

Hansi... Gosh. What can I say. Wow. You never cease to amaze me with your beautiful voice and amazing lyrics!! These songs sound excellent. Obviously, as a gamer, I *love* Sacred Worlds - I remember questing for that in-game concert several times as several different characters :D

This CD is gonna be a sort of perfect balancing between all of the previous guardian's styles... much "A night at the opera" as for the backvocals, much of early BG (Valhalla!!!) as for Hansi's interpretation of some of the songs, sooo much orchestra!!! And - as someone already said - the better things from the last "A twist in the Myth" (which is not that bad: a awesome metal album... but mediocre compare to the other Bards' ones =P)
