When i watched this movie with my friend, who also likes anime, i couldnt tell it was dragon ball. The only somewhat could character was master roshi and the actor was still horrible. The setting is different, the characters dont appear, or have the personalty of their manga/anime counterpart, and the plot of the anime is thrown away, and a new one is written by a freaking peice of dog shit. srysly

The movie itself was not bad. it's actually a pretty good flick. But, people were expecting DBZ level action, even though they knew not to. right first off ign they did not "nail" the characters they got them completely wrong, and the way the "blood moon" turns goku into an giant ape sucks giant monkey balls in the anime its the sayian tail and the full moon that does it and the dragon that appers would make the anime dragon ashamed the creators should watch the anime right from the first episode of dragonball to the very lsat episode of dragonball gt and then they have a idea for a film.

When i watched this movie with my friend, who also likes anime, i couldnt tell it was dragon ball. The only somewhat could character was master roshi and the actor was still horrible. The setting is different, the characters dont appear, or have the personalty of their manga/anime counterpart, and the plot of the anime is thrown away, and a new one is written by a freaking peice of dog shit. srysly

The movie itself was not bad. it's actually a pretty good flick. But, people were expecting DBZ level action, even though they knew not to. Too bad, because what they were gonna do with the sequel was supposed to be badass according to James Marsters. But, since the reviews were so bad, it's likely not to happen.

@IcecoldSaiyan88 I dont mean to butt in on this but: It was NOT a good adaption to the movie im 38 years old and i grew up on ALL od the dragonball cartoons and it was a hollywood stunt to make money on a cartoon that had HUGE FANS everywere around the world!
I Personally found the movie to be an INSULT to the cartoon show BUT apon saying that IF anyone did not grow up on it and knew nothing about it THEN for that particular type of people it may have been slightly amusing for them to watch!

And it would matter even IF i was NOT a fan of dragonball i would STILL expect at least IF their going to use the name of a cartoon show to follow pretty much EXACTLY the cartoon it represents!
E.g: If it was spiderman THEN i would EXPECT it to be SPIDERMAN of which it WAS very similar to the cartoons when they brought it out ;-) NOW i may NOT be a FAN of spiderman (Although i am lol) BUT yeh i think you see my point!

@IcecoldSaiyan88 FYI dumbass, Ofcourse everyone knew the adaptation would not be 100% accurate, but this is so terrible that it isn't even 30% accurate. Look at the aspects dumbfuck, goku doesn't know of his saiyan origin until dbz; yet in the movie he does. They left out too many important characters, the character portrayals were extremelly inaccurate, they didn't even try on that part. The plot is fucked up, and the setting is extremelly out of character. Use your brain you fucking moron.
