  • Do tai chi to train yourself for dolly. I think it may help a lot for doing all movements in a stable yet fluid way.

  • thank u for your tuto i really enjoyed it

  • Hi guys, I was looking at "8 Instructional Series DVDs" in your website and was wondering whether or not you send them to Australia as well. I couldn't find any "Contact Us" via email to ask this question so I thought better to ask it here, how come there is no email contact in your website?

  • @hoomanisbackagain Hi, sorry, if you click on "customer service," you should be able to find our email at customerservice[at]videomaker[dot]com . In any case, yes, we do ship to Australia!

  • Very informative :)

  • You forgot the monopod which allows a lot more than the common tripod.

  • @dummerbube This video is only about handheld techniques, so we didn't talk about monopods. I know a lot of videographers prefer monopods; what do you think makes them work better than tripods?

    Cheers,

    The Videomaker Team

  • @videomaker Sure, but a quick meantion that there is something like monopods would have been nice. What do I think makes monopods better than tripods? It depends on the area of deployment but in almost all the cases shown in the video a tripod would've been a bad choice whereas a Monopod would've been great: They're lightweight, great for on the go, fast deployable, useable for very smooth pans & tilts. Compared to tripods (most don't have prosumer tripods) which are labile, creaking and unhandy

  • Only use the handheld dolly move if you REALLY need to. It's best to avoid doing handheld dolly moves.

  • @R3APER24 Absolutely. These are just some techniques that can help when you have no choice but to work handheld.
