I'm with the blonde chick and the "bleeding hearts" on this one. I don't want to be on the same insurance plan as some fat slob who can't get their shit together. No one's asking him to take up MMA and become a vegan but if he can't get his BMI below 62 then to hell with him. The lady said it herself, a BMI over 40 is no accident, and you're not in the hospital today that doesn't mean that a daily regimen of krispy kreme's and cigars won't put you there. I bet he complains about welfare, too LOL
as much as i agree with skinny girls perspective, i'm 5'9 and fit comofortable in a size 32 waist pant. and accordingly to the BMI i'm drastically obese. drastically. BMI using the height versus weight scale isn't going to solve the problem. how about letting doctors decide if your healthy or making healthy decisions, but that would be an invasion of privacy... same as letting doctors decide whether your physically/mentally healthy enough to drive a vehicle. which i think should be allowed.
I just wish the military didn't use BMI because we lost a ton of good soldiers due to the height/weight program even tho they were in shape and could pass pt.
There are few things more disgusting than a fat person stuffing their face. That fat dude thinks he's cool but he's kind of embarrassing the shit out of himself.
Statistically if someone lives a healthier life they live a lot longer, and end up costing way more in health care costs at the end.
The Guy From Boston is probably going to die from a heart attack in his 50s while that skinny bitch will probably live to be 98 years old and drain millions out of the system the last 20 years of her life.
That conceded bitch probably already costs more per month just in her birth control alone.
The smokers are already paying a very high tax on their produts and I'm not sure where that money goes. So tax the garbage food and set up two funds one for smokers and one for fatties, how bout it?
@nockuout1 it so happens im an avid reader, thanks for asking, and since you need a definition here you are. entitlement- 1. The fact of having a right to something. 2. The amount to which a person has a right. youre welcome, i hope i have helped you. =)
That blonde chick should stop and think for a moment. I'm 20 years old, in the military and I weigh 140 pounds. I'm 5'6. I eat like a fatty fat fat but can't gain a pound. T.T
I love how they completely downplay and ignore the fact that cigars are taxed at $5 each to supposedly go to...drumroll......the Children's Health Insurance Program!!! I bet of the $5, $4.95 is going to pay bureaucrats and lawyers and lobbyists then 5 cents ends up in healthcare or whatever sound-good reason....it's what they do.
The idea of health insurance or any other insurance is that we have a moderate middle of the road way we live and take care of our bodies or family or our stuff. otherwise premiums go up and up as they have in the recent past.
the fact is obesity creates entitlement to people, and this guy is openly exploiting it and saying people should still pay for him. its incredibly obnoxious.
Once these profit hungry insurance companies get ONE FOOT IN THE DOOR, it will be over for basic healthcare rights. Obliviously unhealthy people cost more, but if they cant take the heat...
@moroney1 THe question is not do we care about our fellow citizens, but is why does tubby not care about his health? And why should I have to pay for his fatness if he doesn't want to be healthy?
The U.S is capitalist so you have to work in order to obtain money for your own healthcare, why should I be responsible for someone elses healthcare? thats the problem with you europeans you're paying for everyone elses healthcare there.

I thought both of them had good points. What made me mad was when she spoke he was quiet and let her say her piece, when he spoke, she couldn't help but to interrupt him. She was downright rude!
I have no problem with what Meme Roth is saying. People have the right to eat unhealthy and be obese. However, they don't have the right to pass on those costs to other people.
Blond hair, yea it fits. Insurance is too expensive because doctors, hospitals, drug companies charge 3 or 4 times what their products and services are actually worth. It has nothing to do with bad habits or life style choices. This blond skank is just another liberal shrill who wants other to pay more for health insurance, to pay for this 3-400% mark up, so they don't have to. Make the industry charge what the products and services are actually worth, that solution would actually work.
The fat guy's arguements can be used for the legalization of marijuana, who is the government to say what free citizens ingest, inhale, snort or shove up thier ass.
In all honesty, that fat guy didn't present any compelling arguments or facts to support his point of view, which wasn't even evident at that. I don't think it's fair to call the girl a liberal, because she doesn't want to pay for someone else's health insurance. Sound pretty far off from the liberal platform to me. I think she won, actually.
The taxes on smoking do not break even if someone lands in the hospital for an extended stay because of it. People who think it does do not understand health care costs.
What will mimie do when the charge her insurance for having sex ,when they try to implant the chip she supports like hannity and oriely , bec ause casual sex which she looks like she is not starved of can cause aids . @lynnsbomb welcome to Canada's health care system where everyone gets to pay for the health care for the obese, lazy diabetics. like the 700 lb man just down the street who calls 911 everytime he falls out of his custom, remote control bed just because he wants help getting back in and just eats cookies all day.
The girls is TV beautiful so that the audience could be on her side of the argument, and that girl probably had to have sex with a lot of people to get in her position. FOX news probably asked that guy to hold a donut when they introduce him, the debate doesn't highlight the real issues pro and con of the introduction of the insurance policy. Fox news is a bad joke.
@ZagiEscobar That's what I was thinking. The fact that he was eating as the camera came on him seems way too convenient. They both seem contrived; completely stereotypical characters without real personalities.
OMG that bitch is stupid, im an athletic football player 17 years old a little over six foot and around 235 pounds. my bmi is way over 40 and im nowhere near obese
The way they argue is not civilised but the girl has a point. Being this fat is not healthy and on the long run it costs more to treat these people than others with normal weight. Why should the ones who choose to live a healthier lifesyle pay for lazy people who don't excercise and eat junk food. Cook your own food(it's cheaper, healthier, it takes more time) and move your body.
She works out everyday? Sane people don't exercise 7days/wk.
I do 3-4days/week, eat 5-6 small meals/day, count calories & macro nutrients. I have a 32in waist, six pack abs, run 10-15 miles/week &12% body fat & see a nutritionist. I've been this way all my life. Do I sound like some1 she would want on her ins plan? Well, I also have high blood pressure & high cholesterol. Without medication I'm fucked. Clearly heredity trumps lifestyle. Do the libs think about that B4 they judge? No they don't!
No one is claiming we take away personal liberty but rather we have personal responsibility. Come on...why should I pay for your health insurance? Why should I pay $400 instead of $200 for my health insurance when I take care of myself so the whale at my job doesn't have to pay $600? How is that just? I am a conservative and this is embarrassing.
@sinnersavedbygrace7 -Excuses,the insurance company has100's of them.Look at their profits. If we want to solve this problem we should have single payer health care. When you take the profit out of healthcare the costs go way down.Medicare is a good example. The administrative costs of this program would increase approx 20% if privatized.Conserves want the small minded to think deregulation and privatization is the answer but such practices always bite the consumer in the butt
@sinnersavedbygrace7 -It's not uncommon for individuals to have premium costs for healthcare rise 100% or more in the last decade. Until the GLOBAL fin. crisis all of the developed nations of the world provided health care for it's citizens.Conservatism caused the crisis as Greenspan admitted to Congress in 2008 and now conserves claim social programs are the problem.Health care costs are the leading cause of bankruptcy in the U.S. and fat people are not all of the problem
Gotta love how the title misleads you. She won the debate. No question. Kinda funny how she represented conservative ideals and they tried to pass her off as a 'dumbass liberal blowhard'. Maybe it's cause she's blonde, and everybody knows blondes are stupid, and therefore liberal.
@dutchpride187 Well, for starters, conservatives believe in personal responsibility. She's trying to say here that an indulgent, self-destructive lifestyle choice is something the rest of us shouldn't have to pay in to, which very strongly gives off the impression that she's for personal responsibility.
i don't see any evidence that would suggest this stupid woman is a liberal, but quite the contrary...she is making a conservative point...self responsibility.
I am just concerned that its a a special pleading argument...say someone live closer to the freeway than others in the pool, the air quality is lower the closer to a freeway you live thus having direct health implications...no someone can not live close to a freeway by choice....should those not as close to the freeway pay for those who do?
@Hexdoll Thats all part of the actuarial tables and statistical analysis. Smokers pay more for insurance. People who work in dangerous jobs pay more more for life insurance. People with bad credit pay more interest. If an insurance company could find a way to charge more for people who live near a freeway, Ill bet they would. The short answer to your question--no.
@Hexdoll Self responsibility is a conservative principle. The ballsy assumption that you should be able to intrude in the lives of others by saying "change or there will be consequenses" is number 5 in the liberal playbook. See Obamacare individual mandate.
@Hexdoll Well for example, you buy a car. That car comes with taxes added onto the price that was initially payed by the dealer and passed onto the consumer. 30 days later, you have to fork over a sales tax to the state you live in, and every year, personal property taxes are due to maintain your registration on that car. You also pay taxes for gas, insurance, and any maintenence that car needs. What im saying is that I understand why the product has a tax on it, but after that...excessive.
And a car is just one facet of your life. Imagine having two cars and a house which you also pay personal property taxes on. Everything you buy to put into that house is taxed. Where does it end?
What am i missing here? She won this debate hands down. And she makes every bit of sense: WHY would the gov't subsidize obesity? IF people are taking money from the gov't then the gov't (i.e. WE THE PEOPLE) have EVERY right to demand you work for your handouts, you DON'T do drugs with the money WE GIVE you, and if you are obese you pay more for healthcare. Very conservative, libertarian principles.
@Maxbps88 Absolutely right. I'm quite frankly blown away by people suggesting that her position is liberal. She is all about personal responsibility and paying your own way. That's conservative.
@Maxbps88 OK listen up. My great grand father smoked, drank, and was "big" for 80 of his 104 years. My grandfather smoke, drank and was "big" for 81 of his 99 years. My father smoked for 35 years, drank for 65 years and was "big" for 60 of his 85 years and died from slipping in the bathtub after knee surgery at 85. I don't think any of them was in the hospital more than once in their lives.
@patteel Right! Ok so your ONE example supersedes (1) common sense, (2) simple logic, and (3) scientific facts and proof !!!???!!! Don't think so, dude.
This bitch is a granny-state maven, and if being fat is too much for a "healthcare" that is MANDATORY, is a pompous gloss for the same rhetorical crap that "liberals" use to impose Mengelian (viz: Josef Mengele) BIOMED practices on unsuspecting test animals, homeless, elderly, blacks and any other demographic [racist/naturalist] justification that gets Harvard (non-taxed purveyor of the indicia-of-reliability, erudition, accreditition, legality) fit for the slaughter fat.
I agree you should pay more for health care BUT the food industry of the US also makes too much cheap, fatting food and thus with that goes restrictions on how much sugar, salt, and other ingredients. Also the BMI scale is out of date. It was created back in the late 30's and as a whole the human race is getting taller and bigger. What is that girls name Memme? She needs a protein shake (from my cock)
why is it ok to redistro wealth, but not health? why do the rich need to supplement the poor in wealth?, but the healthy dont need to supplement the unhealthy in health care. this is where liberals loose. you need consistency in logic.
What makes this a liberal position? This is not about entitlement and she's right and taking the libertarian position. This is private insurance, not state insurance. He should pay more if he's a higher risk. That's how real insurance works. He's the socialist who wants everyone to pay for his poor choices.

How the fuck can anyone be defending this fatass and attacking the woman? This girl kicks ass. She's promoting a GOOD message and trying to fight obesity. How in the world can you be against that? You people are probably fat slobs too. Fat people disgust me.
@VitalSigns1 It's kind of part of the zionist plan to lower the population. They want you eating more, paying for medical issues, and if they can tax you on it for a seemingly liable reason? They've got you by the balls. Why else would they make her out to be some blonde pretentious bitch and him a hefty, comedic, and tv-style character with a lovable accent and punchlines that somehow supersede the obesity agenda in America.
@death2pc shes probably more unhealthy than hm i know a bunch of guys who tried that eat right bullshit and they all died lmao especially body builders ad people who work out
@death2pc More like typical righteous fatass. If you don't support gay marriage or equality for all Americans why shouldn't we tax you for being fat? It's a choice isn't it? ;)
@nickepstein How do you know he didn't support gay marriage or equality for all? If anything, his entire argument is BASED on equality... all of us get the same health plans and premiums regardless of weight.
YOU are a retard, making assumptions about people they don't even know.
I don't see how the lady is a liberal? State workers are paid by taxpayers and the tax dollars shoudn't be wasted on people who live like the man in this video. He was being arrogant and childish. I am conservative as they come and I agree with this lady in a sense.
Fuck me she would be an excellent death camp guard gas the fat guy if he dosn't comply , personal responsibility means you get to make your own choice and live with the results . If the big guy wants to eat more than he needs thats his choice and more power to him, any thing other than free will is Nazism.
Wouldn't it be private Insurence passing this? Would the company pass these differing prices for fat people and smokers? Seems not just reasonable but logical.
Okay. 1. The blonde lady isn't a liberal, she's a pro-business conservative. This video is poorly labeled.
2. I am a liberal and she makes a strong point. By charging obese and smoking employees a surcharge you encourage healthier choices not to mention help offset the drag they place on the system. Now I think its the start of a slippery slope but a BMI of 40 is pretty amazing. I am 6'3', 300 lbs (not an athlete) and I'm not at 40. She's not talking about dropping people, just a fee. Reasonable
another fucking liberal whore that wants to impose her lifestyle on other people... fucking cunty elitist airhead shit cunt... I hope this smug big government shit eater rots in hell
@Lario You are right, that is the inner mechanics of how insurance works, but let's take life insurance for example, not everyone pays the same rate for the same coverage. The insurance company will 'prejudge' you based upon the demographic you belong to; they'll compare you to other people just like you, and then they'll determine how many of you will die early, how many will die late, and how many will die right on time... and set premiums accordingly.

I am a conservative and this is embarrassing.
sinnersavedbygrace7 3 months ago 15
@sinnersavedbygrace7 -Excuses,the insurance company has100's of them.Look at their profits. If we want to solve this problem we should have single payer health care. When you take the profit out of healthcare the costs go way down.Medicare is a good example. The administrative costs of this program would increase approx 20% if privatized.Conserves want the small minded to think deregulation and privatization is the answer but such practices always bite the consumer in the butt
urparanoia 2 months ago

Exemplariful 3 months ago
@Exemplariful how did she rep conservative ideals
dutchpride187 3 months ago
@dutchpride187 Well, for starters, conservatives believe in personal responsibility. She's trying to say here that an indulgent, self-destructive lifestyle choice is something the rest of us shouldn't have to pay in to, which very strongly gives off the impression that she's for personal responsibility.
Exemplariful 3 months ago

The whole point about insurance is that you pool your money and the insurance company charges based upon the cost of the whole.
auditorization 3 months ago
i don't see any evidence that would suggest this stupid woman is a liberal, but quite the contrary...she is making a conservative point...self responsibility.
Hexdoll 3 months ago
@Hexdoll Thats true. There is no reason why the rest of us should pay because this guy makes himself sick..
rb2112002 3 months ago
@rb2112002
I don't know I agree with the point entirely but I do know which side of the fence the argument falls on is all.
Hexdoll 3 months ago
@rb2112002
I am just concerned that its a a special pleading argument...say someone live closer to the freeway than others in the pool, the air quality is lower the closer to a freeway you live thus having direct health implications...no someone can not live close to a freeway by choice....should those not as close to the freeway pay for those who do?
Hexdoll 3 months ago
@Hexdoll Thats all part of the actuarial tables and statistical analysis. Smokers pay more for insurance. People who work in dangerous jobs pay more more for life insurance. People with bad credit pay more interest. If an insurance company could find a way to charge more for people who live near a freeway, Ill bet they would. The short answer to your question--no.
rb2112002 3 months ago
@Hexdoll Self responsibility is a conservative principle. The ballsy assumption that you should be able to intrude in the lives of others by saying "change or there will be consequenses" is number 5 in the liberal playbook. See Obamacare individual mandate.
pmz1981 3 months ago
@pmz1981
the 'individual mandate" is no more intrusive than taxes in principle...do you think no one should pay taxes?
Hexdoll 3 months ago
@Hexdoll Well for example, you buy a car. That car comes with taxes added onto the price that was initially payed by the dealer and passed onto the consumer. 30 days later, you have to fork over a sales tax to the state you live in, and every year, personal property taxes are due to maintain your registration on that car. You also pay taxes for gas, insurance, and any maintenence that car needs. What im saying is that I understand why the product has a tax on it, but after that...excessive.
pmz1981 3 months ago
And a car is just one facet of your life. Imagine having two cars and a house which you also pay personal property taxes on. Everything you buy to put into that house is taxed. Where does it end?
pmz1981 3 months ago
@pmz1981
I think it end when taxes are pay by a means test....GE paid no taxes last year...yet had record profits
Hexdoll 3 months ago
What am i missing here? She won this debate hands down. And she makes every bit of sense: WHY would the gov't subsidize obesity? IF people are taking money from the gov't then the gov't (i.e. WE THE PEOPLE) have EVERY right to demand you work for your handouts, you DON'T do drugs with the money WE GIVE you, and if you are obese you pay more for healthcare. Very conservative, libertarian principles.
Maxbps88 3 months ago
@Maxbps88 Absolutely right. I'm quite frankly blown away by people suggesting that her position is liberal. She is all about personal responsibility and paying your own way. That's conservative.
darkENhandsome 3 months ago
@Maxbps88 OK listen up. My great grand father smoked, drank, and was "big" for 80 of his 104 years. My grandfather smoke, drank and was "big" for 81 of his 99 years. My father smoked for 35 years, drank for 65 years and was "big" for 60 of his 85 years and died from slipping in the bathtub after knee surgery at 85. I don't think any of them was in the hospital more than once in their lives.

patteel 3 months ago
This bitch is a granny-state maven, and if being fat is too much for a "healthcare" that is MANDATORY, is a pompous gloss for the same rhetorical crap that "liberals" use to impose Mengelian (viz: Josef Mengele) BIOMED practices on unsuspecting test animals, homeless, elderly, blacks and any other demographic [racist/naturalist] justification that gets Harvard (non-taxed purveyor of the indicia-of-reliability, erudition, accreditition, legality) fit for the slaughter fat.
kpharris32 3 months ago
I agree you should pay more for health care BUT the food industry of the US also makes too much cheap, fatting food and thus with that goes restrictions on how much sugar, salt, and other ingredients. Also the BMI scale is out of date. It was created back in the late 30's and as a whole the human race is getting taller and bigger. What is that girls name Memme? She needs a protein shake (from my cock)

What makes this a liberal position? This is not about entitlement and she's right and taking the libertarian position. This is private insurance, not state insurance. He should pay more if he's a higher risk. That's how real insurance works. He's the socialist who wants everyone to pay for his poor choices.

mariomoncole103 3 months ago
Okay.
Reasonable

CBALLEN 3 months ago
@Lario You are right, that is the inner mechanics of how insurance works, but let's take life insurance for example, not everyone pays the same rate for the same coverage. The insurance company will 'prejudge' you based upon the demographic you belong to; they'll compare you to other people just like you, and then they'll determine how many of you will die early, how many will die late, and how many will die right on time... and set premiums accordingly.
