@MrEmergevideo This guitar, which is almost as old as he is, happems to be Jim's favorite guitar. Problem is this thing won't stay in tune for more than 30 seconds at a time. But good old Jim doesn't seem to notice and as long as he's having a good time, I'm not saying a word.
Thanks much, kind sir! Always a joy to find one so young enjoying these old tunes. That's my brother-in-law Jim doing the singing and strumming and singing those old songs is his specialty.
If you liked what you heard here come back and check out more of Jim's songs.
Thanks again for the comment. Your time is appreciated!
Thanks very much for the kind comment, Tracy! That's my brother-in-law Jim doing the singing and strumming. He's a walking repository of those old time tunes.
Appreciate your stopping by and glad you liked what you heard!
Many thanks for the kind comment, kiseidoster! That's my brother-in-law Jim doing the pickin' and grinnin'. Jim's one of the few remaining people on the planet without internet access so I've let him share my channel.
If you liked this one Jim's got about sixty more songs posted. Just type in Laid Back Jim in the YouTube search box.
Thanks again for stopping by. Your time is greatly appreciated.
You're one helluva guitar player! Damn good taste in music, too! That is what is good about this type of music...it is not exclusive. You don't have to be young and sexy to perform or enjoy it. I respect you! Please do some more songs.
Thank you kindly, pds3939! That's my brother-in-law Jim doing the strumming and singing here. If you enjoy that old time country sound Jim has another 65 or so videos up.
In the YouTube Search box just type in my screen name WMSTROP and you see a list of all the vids I have up. Some are of me "singing" but most are of Jim.
Thanjs again for stopping by and the kind comment. We do appreciate it.
Feel free to play along, sing along, yodel, whistle, howl, clap or anything else you feel like doing. The more the merrier! Thanks once again for your interest!
Thanks much, Collin! Appreciate your checking out the song and commenting. That's my brother-in-law Jim doing the singing and he loves getting feedback.
your very welcome like I said I really liked the song have you hear the lester flatt and earle scruggs verssion of this song? OH BTW your guitar souded like one of the strings was slightly out of tune hehe a little flat I think.
Matter of fact I have a CD at work of Flatt & Scruggs with this song on it. Very possible the guitar was slightly out of tune. Jim doesn't seem to believe a guitar will get out of tune from one day to the next. Then again maybe it was singing. Something to think about 8<) Thanks for stopping by again, Paul!
Thanks for stopping by, Paul! Laid Back Jim (my brother-in-law) and I appreciate your time and we're pleased you enjoyed what you heard. Thanks again!
Many thanks Greg! That's my brother-in-law Jim doing the pickin' & grinnin'. He's one of few people left on the planet without internet access so I invited him to "share" my channel! Yeesh!! He's got at least twice as many songs up as I have. Point being if this is your kind of music - and I think it probably is - come on back and check some more of Jim's classic country oldies. Appreciate your time!
Thanks again, Ricky! Jim used to sing this song with his cousin when they were just kids. Some idea how old this song is! Thanks for the comment and the stars!!
