@Unicorn161 My video is not ment to be an educational vid on how to behave in the battlefield, so if anyone comes to this page looking for some sort of guidance i suggest you look somewere else. This vest has the old type of plates, they are not allowed in combat and are deadlined, in other words they are going to be scraped anyways. If you are in the military or have been you would know that soldiers have fun on their off time, we are not robots and do have fun from time to time.

Well put! Besides his basic knowledge of the fact that types of body armor are indeed made of ceramic plates, it is blatantly obvious that he has not served in the military or else he would NEVER question the antics displayed in the video. If you've served, you've playfully tested your armor. It's a joke to believe a few lighthearted jabs could be detrimental. You underestimate the strength of the armor and overestimate your own until you throw your first punch at one of these! >:)

Also, cut out that faggotry - nobody is holding guns at him or invading the U.S. and every war in the 20th-21st century the U.S. got into was due to economical interest.

The USSR wasted a lot of their gross product in weapons and US banks were lending money that was being used to make weapons issued to Vietnam. *ahem* The US supplied IG Farben with products related to oil that was being used to supply the Whermacht.
Then TWO illegal wars in Middle East. For economical reasons, of course.

@bbsmjerk WW2 is what drove our economy out of a depression and into what it is today. The reason Japan attacked us is because we trade embargo them and cut off their oil supply. We basically forced their hand and gave them no choice but to first strike our navy. The US was reaping huge economic benefits from the Lend Lease Act and other economic advantages directly linked to the war. Wars are all about economics, you just don't understand them.

@csbob2010 wars are about ideologies, the balance of power and state security as well. Sure, Japan was in a difficult situation when the US cut off oil supplies, but their justification for attacking us was to limit our ability to respond when they were going to attempt to take over oil bases in the dutch east indies. economics are certainly involved in some cases, but to say that it is the only motivating factor behind the decisions to go to war is incorrect. They are more complex than that.

@bbsmjerk I was talking about WW2. There were huge economic factors in why the Japanese and Nazi's were able to come to the point of war in the first place. I said 'wars are all about economics' but that's not what I meant. I was meaning to talk about WW2. Of course you could say that Japanese imperialism was just as big of a factor, but the US created the economic problem. Yes, they were slaughtering the Chinese but that was why they attacked us... To continue their war.

@Unicorn161 If the plates were weak enough to get damaged by punching them they would not not last one day in the field. However, we observe they last many days and that they are able to stop bullets. Therefore, we can conclude that they are strong.

BTDT. Medically retired NCO. Fun shouldn't involve potentially damaging protective equipment. Just because it probably will be ok, why increase the risk of cracking them? I've personally seen (you see, I did this shit full time and then part time for a fucking living... unlike you) these plates crack. It's why you don't use the same plates for training as you do for combat. It's also why all ceramic plates are *supposed* to be x-rayed yearly to look for cracks.
