somebody quoted the absolut best 1/4 time for a 02-03 maxima which is 14.0 however maxima's dont come out the box 14.0 one freak motor dont make them all freak motors, however a 02-03 maxima is faster than the 09+ its even in stillen magazine, as the fastest maxima made to date, avalon in 04 was the fastest in its class beating the 04 maxima, accord,altima and all... with that said... 5.5 gen maxima (02-03) is the fastest hands down

Take the limiter off! I use to have an STOCK 02 Maxima 6speed it would kill an Avalon. Now i got an 07 Altima 3.5SE CVT i kinda hate the CVT think im gonna trade it in on 6speed. Go test drive a 6speed Altima (V6 of course) and you will like it better than the Maxima, faster, handels better to, the stick makes up for the 20 less HP than the Maxima
