Lewis also had multiple great defensive players along side him that opponents had to gameplan for,- where as Willis is a lone marked man with the Niners,- and yet still does what he does. If Willis maintains, and stays healthy,- he will be just as legendary,- if not more so than Lewis. Oh, and I doubt Willis will ever be involved in any murder trials. lol

That can be looked at both ways. Those multiple great defensive players could have made it more difficult for Lewis because they all made plays. Whereas Willis IS the 49ers defense and is the lone playmaker. Meaning he gets more opportunities to make plays because the rest of the defense sucks. But I do agree that Willis is on his way to being one of the very best ever. This year was a big step for Willis because it showed he can fill up the stat sheet besides just making tackles.

So, so far Willis is right on track. Time will tell - the Ravens sucked in Lewis' first three years as well, so give him time to lead the 49ers to a ring.
