@superheaton the walls reflect the soundwaves and the reflection got more intense the more near the speaker/subwoofer is at the wall. this reflected broken soundwaves coming from the walls mix with the clean sound coming out of the monitor. for prevent reflections you need room acoustic treatment. you can have the best sound system it will always suck if the room sucks.

BTW if you play that loud, try going to a hearing test place and as for Musician's Plugs, they kill the frequencies that damage ears, but you can still hear the music at the right volume.

i was lucky with the rp5's, i snatched up a mint pair in cash coverters for only £150, they retail for around £220. u can get limited edition red cased ones from hard-to-find records.

i can't recommend any KRK product enough, the sound quality and sound pressure from even the smallest monitor speakers are unbelievable.

get a pair and hear the music exactly how the producers intended u to hear it
