It's an excellent camera especially if you can get it for under $200 in new condition.
Main reason for buying, MIC INPUT. It's also great for taking motion and playback is perfect in media player on Windows 7. Great pocket camcorder. Editing is the only problem so i usually in-camera cut/combine/divide clips then export to HDV for effects. It can also use the same lenses as my HC3 (30mm). Can't go wrong for a budget HD cam with mic input.
I just bought this camera and it rocks so far! Only had it for 3 hours but it's super simple to use that the outdoor video quality is very, very good!
This is the one i wanted, but in the uk price was too high before christmas as much as 400£ now i see its dropped to 250 its 100 more than the little jvc ms100 i was getting but i think worth it.
nice review, how much did you get it for again? you said it but i coudnt really understand it. Are there any videos that you've already filmed from this camcorder on youtube yet? i want to see the quality of it when it come up on youtube thanks.

I just bought this camera and it rocks so far! Only had it for 3 hours but it's super simple to use that the outdoor video quality is very, very good!

HMX10 is very handy size and light weight comparing hdd based cam.
I like it's swivel grip is really helpful shooting comfortably. it also provides easy interface with flash-based memory and expanding memory slot.
