Yes, War of Ages is pretty fucking badass, but All That Remains has not only been around much longer, but their music has transformed a LOT since they've been around.
I'm not hating on War of Ages, but MOST of their songs (I won't say all) have the same style and sound the same.
There's no slow(ER) songs from these guys.
All That Remains is better IN MY OPINION.

i was simply explaining to you that lyrics must be comsidered part of the music. some people listen to it for the face-melting killer riffs, some people listen to it for the sweet double bass, some people listen to it for the awesome lyrics. i love the music, but im not going to listen to just anything just cuz it sounds good when there's bands out there that offer great music PLUS great lyrics

@usuck4829 they actually are christian. maybe not exclusively christian as a band in itself, but check out some of their lyircs and tell me they arent at all christian. they have some pretty christian sounding lyrics in alot of thier songs if you ask me. someone said the same thing about as i lay dying "they arent christian, they said so".... well idk where this person heard that, but i was at one of thier shows at a festival called TOMfest... an exclusively christian music festival

@Ravagence well Rammstein is better then this but both are good and different styles, Rammstein's a bit slower and the lyrics in Rammstein are like poetry. War of Ages is faster but you know the guys in Rammstein are professionals so they are better in my opinion.

Yes, War of Ages is pretty fucking badass, but All That Remains has not only been around much longer, but their music has transformed a LOT since they've been around.
I'm not hating on War of Ages, but MOST of their songs (I won't say all) have the same style and sound the same.
There's no slow(ER) songs from these guys.
All That Remains is better IN MY OPINION.
No need to kill me, I'm just saying I like All That Remains better.

(just check any christian metal bands youtube vid and look at the comments) to many christians (including myself ) we enjoy christian metal moreso than secular metal because of the lyrical content
