It''s funny to see all this posts, trying to make an illusion of many people disagreeing. Its the same every time the capital of BIG BIZ is threatened.
The tobacco industry did it, when scientist sounded the alarm on health issues. The car industry did it when the cars back then were exposed as the death traps they were. The Oil / energy industry did/does it when GW became obvious. And most recently, the health care industry in the US started doing it.

My wife is a professor of art history, and I am a scientist (PhD physics, Oxford U., and member of the National Academy of Engineering). Her colleagues generally believe that all scientists support Gore they have read so in the NYT. My PhD science colleagues generally agree that Claims that human activity has appreciably affected the worlds climate is the greatest political hoax ever.

First, you know nothing of global climate shift.
Second, pick a single conspiracy theory and stick with it.
Third, there is no debate. Finding a few hundred scientists that think any subject needs more study is easier to do than your mom (ie very easy). You can find more scientists that believe in the literal interpretation of biblical creation (and those fucknuts think The Flintstones is close to historical documentation...).
Go read some science reports on the subject...
