How to voice over in Pinnacle studios

haha thanks man i recently got a mic and i know for a fact it worked, but it wouldnt work on pinnacle. no idea you had to go under settings and select your mic to get it going lol. once again thanks!

how do you reocord live commentary? like while you are recording your gameplay you also are doing voice over at same time

I would be curious to know what type of mic you are using. I bought a USB headset mic (mono) and was able to get it to record find in MS sound recorder, but when I plugged it into Pinnacle, I got nothing....no squiggly lines during the record process and nothing appeared on the timeline under the speaker icon. I chose USB Device in Pinnacle settings, but nothing recorded. I guess I'll try analog mic.

@BigDDe I ended up scrapping the voice over and just going with sound from the video. However, I bought a couple of different mics. The first one I bought was digital and did not work. I bought an analogue Logitech headset mic that works, but doesn't have as good sound quality. I only spent about $35 as I did not want to make a huge investment at this time. You should probably see if you can find someone who has a lot of experience in this area as I do not. Thanks!

i have the pinnacle ultimate studio, and there is no 'settings' button to click, when i go to 'import' to attempt to add my microphone, and i'm presuming that's why whenever i go to do a voiceover the space in time shows up, but it's blank, no voicewaves, nothing. this sucks.
