The Bichir and Ropefish are closely related, and both mesozoic fish from the congo basin. The Bichir grows about an 1" thick and 12" long, while the Ropefish will grow to about 1/3" thick and upwords of 2' long.
Very cool fish! Your bichir is a fatty, and I'm waiting for some of my fish to die so I can get a ropefish.
