Sepultura are one of groove metal's defining bands fgs. Chaos A.D. onwards although with Derrick they've moved away slightly. Sepultura, Pantera, Soulfly, Machine Head are the most notable groove bands. Slayer dabbled in it, Slipknot can be seen as influenced by it, Korn claim they were it until their new album.
