@timpa666 - No, he is not lying. That lock is an old Yale DISC tumbler lock and he's using the awl on a VIC-SAK as a rocker pick. If you really knew anything about locks or picking them, you would know what a rocker pick is and what type of lock that was by the plug being offset like it is. It is true that better locks won't open with this tool but there are still thousands of these old padlocks still being used today, even if people on YouTube don't want to believe it.

That is impossible with a modern lock. I learned to build and repin locks years ago while working at a hardware store, and the awl on a SAK is too thick to work on 99% of the locks out there, not to mention you can't get it in the lock far enough to reach the last pin anyway.

Nice, but that works with only a few locks. Most are warded, so they have little protrusions on the sides that would prevent you from inserting that tool. I know, because I have the officer and it has that same tool. However, you can pick locks with the tweezers. But you have to break them...
