Thanks for putting this on man. It's just what i need to try and reduce costs on my proposed website. I can do most of the work, on my own. With my book and your tutorials. It's helpfull. Thanks J
well my friend, I have seen a couple of your tutorials. Much props man! I have been in the IT field for about 7 years and never dabbled with dreamweaver. "A newb when it comes to sites." Your tutorials have been a big help: so Effing kudos man you rock!
@tazomaniac First make an anchor on your page, then open your flash text edit menu, double click the text, there should be a space that says link and has a brows button next to it. Past and or type the link in there if it is a link to another site and or page, click browes if its a link to a file.
I really like your tutorial as I am new to Dreamweaver and Flash, so thank you! I have Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 and Flash cs4, however - when I click on the "flash elements" tab, the only thing that appears is "flash immage viewer". Do you have any idea how I could get that quick button "flash text"?

I hate these tuts because i spent 25,000 for school and another 5,000 for my computer and i make 50,000 a year and these videos just make it so unfair because i spent money learning this stuff.
I can say that all your tutorials on DW are excellent and I wan to thankyou for posting such good videos here which are helping people in learning complex concepts.
dude - not everyone works at the same speed - dont criticise people offering free tutorials if you dont like their style - move on and find something more suitable to you or read a book !
i took a 6 week intro course to web design and it was nowhere near as detailed as your tutorials- in a 20min lesson. thank you so much! keep 'em coming =)
Hi there, This is a super tutorial, I am just starting on the flash/ Dreamweaver journey, and this was a great easily, understood tut. Thanks a million, keep up the great work. Best wishes for 2009
I'm having trouble with my flash buttons and flash text. I followed his tutorial on creating a css site in dreamweaver and I'm trying to put some flash text in the content section.
It looks fine when I preview it in firefox, but when i upload it and check out it on the web it isn't there.
I've downloaded the latest version of flash player and I'm definitely uploading my files correctly before I view it on the web.
This tutorial is the same as the previous video of your DW tutorial playlist(Dreamweaver Tutorial Use Dreamweaver's Flash Buttons!). By the way, your tutorials are great and very useful.
I am using my schools server for my portfolio site...I cant get my flash text to work. does ne one know how to get swf files to work...like how to embed them i guess. I uploaded all my swf files on the server and the still wont show up.

you can edit it a lot more easily and you dont always have to create a new image for a small bit of text

What about if you have designer a background and you want to use that background? How can you select the background then?

only problem i'm having with this is that all my flash content won't align to the center, it all seems to want to stick to the left side, any ideas?

Dreamweaver is funny like that sometimes. If you make the changes in the code, it should take effect.
