Tokyo seems too much urbanized. Are there many green open spaces?

There are several large parks, but not many open spaces. Tokyo is one of the most densely populated cities afterall. If you really want to leave the city you could go to Okutama which is in extreme western Tokyo Prefecture up in the mountains away from the city.
